It looks like Megatron isn't in the film(RISE OF THE BEAST)....do you think we will ever get an accurate portrayal of him in these films?

God I hope so. As far as I'm concerned THE Megatron has yet to have his live action debut.

Nope, Megatron already had five chances and it still didn't work out. It's time to just cut our losses and move on.

 

Oh totally, but who knows. Maybe he will be teased like Thanos at this movie’s end.

 

Probably not in this one. Which I'm fine with, after Bayverse's treatment of him I'm fine with Megatron taking some time to eventually get back on screen.

Really I want to see if a new version of Movie Megatron could possibly top the best versions of Megatron (imo) we've gotten so far.

 

If they get David Kaye as MegaRex, and Frank Welker as Megs, and let us have those two bickering and bartering throughout the movie, it's automatically the best Movie ever.

 

We were told not all of the characters were revealed so we don't really know if Megatron is in it or not.

Eventually. With how many films they’re going to inevitably produce they’re bound to get him done right eventually. For the new movie though, I don’t know. Probably not since the beast Transformers seem to be taking center stage.

Just because Megatron's allegedly not in the new movie is doubtful they wouldn't outright not have him at all in this universe. I think that Megatron is a big presence to build up to, rather than right off the bat having Megatron vs Optimus. In my opinion that would make the galactic Cybertronian war feel smaller in a way. It's best they go through various other Decepticon characters before reaching the final boss, if that makes sense.

 

Megatron was good enough in TF1 tho

After the poor ways he was often utilized in the Bay films I like the idea of building up to him and other heavy hitters like Starscream and Soundwave.

 

I haven't seen Bumblebee, so correct me if I'm wrong, but the way I understand it is that film and Beasts are prequels, right? So unless they completely retcon 07 he's currently frozen in ice and not likely to show up. That said, I don't know if we'll ever see him done right but I really hope so. Looks and the lack of fusion cannon aside, I didn't have much problem with 07 Megs but I do hope to see a better design and an even better portrayal. And hire Frank Welker for the love of Primus!!!

 

I don't know if he can ever be done right because there are varied number of Megatrons people prefer.

Some want him to be a sympathetic warrior while others want him to be a full on maniacal villain. Whichever side a new Megatron is going to lean on he isn't going to please everyone.

But I would like to see them try.

 

They specifically removed any mention of Megatron from the original plan of Bumblebee, plus Hasbro outright said Bumblebee was a separate storytelling continuity anyway.
