I can't seem to distinctly recall any, me and my girl were trying to think of some concepts (like Sekhmet and Sebek). Are there any already existing (apart from the movie-version of the Fallen)?
Sadly, no. It would be awesome if the robot transformed into a scarab beetle. I think there was a BW Scarab Beetle, can't remember the name though.
I think if you go by master force one of the con pretenders were meant to be egyptian although personally I can't see it.
I don't know if its was intentional or not, but the striped things on the side of Mirage's head always reminded me of King Tut's headdress.
Derrick J Wyatt's initial sketch for Mirage (pre-Almanac) also took a lot more Egyptian cues than normal.
G1 Mirage's headsculpt was also very Egyptian-themed, in the same way the heads of many of the other G1 autobots drew from japanese, roman, or norse themes.
A bit of a shame we didn't get a slew of Egyptian-themed TFs in RotF, what with the Pharaoh-esque Fallen and Pyramid plot. ...granted I'm not sure how far Hasbro could play with the theme, considering they want to stick with real, motorized vehicles and not animals/monuments/wooden vessels/ark of the covenant/etc..
TM2 Cheetor from Beast Wars has a straight up, STRIPED PHARAOH'S GOATEE going on. Not to mention he's a cat and the Egyptians worship cats. *edit* Uh. . . upon a 2nd look, it's more spotted than striped. False alarm.
i love how people keep mentioned the fallen from ROTF yet he was asking for robots that were egyptian-influenced that WEREN'T the fallen but on topic:to my knowledge, nothing was dramatically influenced by egyptian designs unfortunately outside of the fallen
I really wish there was more than just him in the TF world, but I guess I get my Egyprian fix from Yugioh & Mummies Alive, and some of the Power Ranger toys count too I guess.
Wasn't there a Pharaotron somwhere in a comic of a third-party product? City Commander maybe? Or something Takara, like Alternity?
