Seriously it's like I've Never had as much of a annoying time transforming then i've had with these Dirtboss Is Not So Bad But it can be a pain to get back into Forklift but Ransack has to be the worst unless this is just me His Body Parts Constantly Snap Off Without Much Force...so much for his coolness
put a drop of nail polish clear coat on each arm and leg ball joing...let dry then reapply limbs...problem solved
Tiny ball joints can be a pain in the ass, much Like random Capitalization. I think the ol' nail polish solution can fix a lot of the problems.
Ransack's shoulders give me a tad bit of trouble buy in large the scouts are the easiest for me to transform ( I have no legends at this time)
The only Scout I have is Knockout, and there's nothing wrong with him. The only annoying one to transform I have is Sideays. Sometimes the arms pop off, and they were weak when I bought him! But Wave 1 is infamous for bad QC, Wave 2 always has the better constructed toys.
Actually all things considered, the scouts are probably the easiest in transformation design on the ROTF line. Mind you, I say that only owning Ransack and Dirt boss. I could see Ransack being trouble if you get a junker one. He's a rather fiddly design; even on a soild one like mine, the shoulder ball joints are going to pop off from time to time. Dirt boss is not that hard at all, so long as you know to fold the seat forward before bringing the two halves with his arms together.
As much as I think Ransack is a cool little guy, he is the most parts-poppin-off-in-est transformer in recent memory. His legs pop off, his feet pop off, his arms pop off and his wings pop off. This isn't related to loose ball joints, mine are pretty tight. Hasbro do design parts to pop off rather than break when forced. It's annoying, but it is better than a break. And once you are familiar with the transformation, it's easy enough to transform back and forth without part-popping.
The arms pop off on mine every once in awhile but after it did it once I just made sure to keep pressure on it when transforming back to bot mode. But I wouldn't call them annoying, the Scouts are really simple. I rarely need the instructions for the little guys.
I've really enjoyed my scout class figures [Ejector is one of the best transformers ever ]and haven't had much of a problem with my Ransack. Looking forward to the red baron style repaint of him.
Of the ones I have: Ransack-Yeah the arms pop off alot Dirt Boss-The peice with the Forklift seat always pops off on mine Rollbar-Very solid Dunerunner-Nothing comes off, but the rear end can be a pain to align correctly going to vehicle mode.
Ransack and Dune Runner. Ransacks appendages always fall off, but Dune Runners front end always splits in vehicle mode...
I have Ransack, Dead End and Reverb. Ransack does like to pop his arms off, so I'm usually careful about that. Dead End is annoying to fit altogether. Reverb is the best of the three, but lining everything up from bot to alt can take a few extra seconds (it's the leg panels), but it's not bad. I've been really enjoying the scouts from the Walmart 2-packs, though. Never had the E. Skyblast mold, but all 4 (Hardtop, Clocker, Storm Surge and the Skyblast recolor) are still pretty sweet. More fun than the new movie scouts... but then again, they came from Cybertron and Energon.
