I know there is some good stuff here, but are crushed boxes really that much of a diffference? You can't even tell if they are complete!
Yeah, I find this kind of box value utterly ridiculous. However, I remember having a dream a few days ago where I was searching through old stuff in the attic and found an old cardboard box from the old Final Fantasy 7 videogame for PC (go figure...), and thougth "Wow, now I'm rich!" I think this is starting to get to me...
It really all depends on the damage to the boxes. This is why we have a grading system, you know. A box that looks like it's suffered a car crusher is scarcely worth keeping, but I have a Predaking reissue box with some small warping at the sides that can be easily fixed with tape, having little effect on its value.
You know I never can believe that people are so stupid that they cant find some way to display the inner toy from the box art or the instructions printed along the top of the box?!?!?! I steer well clear of auctions like this, something dont smell right!!!
I was looking at that auction too - but as red leader said.. something don't smell right - esp as it cheque/money order payment only... open the boxes to find trashed toys - no comeback...
I was just wondering if the crushed boxes increased the value of the toys that much. The smae toys MISB would go for a pretty penny, but those boxes are pretty trashed.
well I guess the box might attract a different buyer? As maybe a guy not wanting to pay misb price and does not want loose this is a mid type option? in most cases I would say yes but the point of the box is to display the toys and if they are messed up then what really is the point? maybe its fun to cut tech-specs? .
