They're cool, but I'm not such a big fan of them that their absence ruins figures for me.

Then again, I used to throw out the boxes.

 

I never paid attention to them. Just went by show information or made up my own backgrounds for non show figures.

 

I thought power of the primes card with the different powers and the titans return bios for the headmasters were very fun. I'm not really into the build a map thing

 

Yeah, that's what made me love the grunts in the live action movies like Grindor, Demolishor & Sideways.
Also, if I'm not mistaken Bonecrusher's infamous hate for everything came from his original toy bios correct?
I wish studio series had more fun with the characters, I want to know what personalities the writers can come up for guys like Scrapmetal, Hightower & Overload.

 

I suppose they are less 'needed' now we have the internet but I use to love the, especially on Transformers and G.I.Joe.

 

Are they absolutely needed? Hell no, most people know exactly what the characters are, except for kids. That fact aside, I would absolutely love to see the bios return. I know most of the characters—I would still read the bios. But they would take up a decently large portion of the box, and that could become... Rather difficult, and there would need to be a way to implement the words somewhere that they wouldn't take up space, like the instruction manual. If they'd return, that'd be great; it would cause several problems if they didn't do it right, but those could be worked around easily.

 

I wouldn't mind seeing them return. I did like reading them even though, as older collectors, we already pretty much know who is who but I would like to see bios for newer characters like Netflix Scrapmetal, etc. I really liked the detailed bios that were on the back on the pack in comics during Combiner Wars. Bringing back the bios would be good for newer fans just getting into the hobby.

This for sure. I am not into the whole map thing but I did love the trading cards with the cardback/box art on them. Wasn't much into the whole TR variations but I would definitely not say no to seeing the trading cards return with either bios and/or tech specs on the back.

Yes because at the very least it gives the character some personality. That has to mean something right?

 

I miss them. It'd be nice if they put them on the instructions at least.
