Bay said he wasnt resurecting any characters that had died in the previous films, but did Arcee and her "sisters" die in ROTF? We saw them get shot or blasted durring the final show down, but we also saw Sideswipe take a few hits and survive, I had hoped they had only been injured and werent dead, I would love to see them so more in TF3. Thoughts?

 

Sadly i've not got much hope of seeing them in TF3....

We never saw them die. Ironhide got blown to pieces and survived. There's deffinately a window for them to return.

However I personally don't care. They were minor background robots and I don't need to know what happened to them.

Agreed, there was no character development with them, they didnt even name the other two partners Arcee had in the movie, but their robot designs were very cool, and their alt mode were gorgeous. So I guess thats the only reason I would have liked to see them return.

 

They didn't die on screen, so they could come back. However, it also seems to be the official position of the writers that they are dead. Don't know if that will change or not. It would be nice to actually get a fem bot with some character in this one.

 

I doubt very much we'll ever see those 3 again. They were completely wasted in RoTF anyway.

 

Bay hated Arcee. End of.

 

I think Bay only did them because he had to have Arcee. With most of them dead and his liking for dropping characters between movies without explanation I doubt we'll see Arcee again.

 

Ask Barricade. Or Wheelie. Or the Twins.

I'm pretty certain no one involved with the production cares what happened to the bikes, so I highly doubt there will be even the least mention of them.

i think theyre not coming back and i hope they dont honestly

 

you have to watch it a couple times cause its happens so fast & they didnt make it a big deal in the movie. for ironhide he got hit a couple times when he was fighting with the arcees bikes, then he is seen running in the background behind shia & crew right before sam "dies" & an air strike hits. his one cannon actually falls off his arm. for sideswipe he is randomly seen fighting behind this broken building wall thing & gets hit maybe twice but its no big deal

 

I just wish Mikaela had got a scene where she rides one of the Bike Sisters.

 

Eh, I figure the cycle girl bots are gone because they weren't very important in the second film and it looks like they have a lot new robots in part 3 to take their place.

Personally instead of worrying about Arcee showing up to not do much again I'd get more excited that she is a main character in Transformers Prime. Plus Transformers Prime has the advantage that she actually looks like a fem-bot.

 

So fembots have to conform to strict guidelines in order to count?

 

Trust me. The arcee bots are dead. Even if chromia survived Bay would still find a way to kill her in a very un-glorified way. for her own good we WOULDN'T want her in TF3.

 

Every machine has to have some sort of guidelines. I could slap four tires onto a washing machine but that would not make it a car. My old car is a big heavy pile of metal but I don't think the Army would buy it as a Stryker Light Armored Vehicle.

In a world with no guidelines Go Bot fans would be claiming they had Transformers because each toy could be both a robot and a vehicle.

 

Wow, haven't seen an Arcee thread in a while now.

Arcee took a few hits and went down, but I believe she was still moving for that second of screentime. Elita/Flareup/whatever (don't start with what her name is according to whatever) is most likely dead, as she took a bad head/upper body-shot from Clonecrusher. Chromia took cover.

Ironhide fled the air strike without them, but it doesn't mean Chromia and possibly Arcee survived it.

But the main factor here is Bay hated Arcee. I don't know why, whether he's sexist or not. But he had Arcee do NOTHING, and be killed off and not even acknowledged. Arcee was a waste of the 30 seconds of screentime she got. This kind of action on Bay's part really gets my blood boiling very very quickly.

Closing on this, Bay will gladly forget anything about dead characters, and Arcee will fade away from Bayformers.
