disappointed that the colors on it are just stickers, but i might have to get it since it can apparently stay attached

 

I guess I'm buying soundwave now. The chest stickers fix the biggest issue I had with him. Though, I'll probably wait to see if they announce more cassettes first.

 

thats nice that the fin can stay attached , I was betting you had to take it off but super glad to hear i am wrong and you dont have too.

Need to wait until Thundercracker comes available to order though before ordering as I need to pay for international shipping .

It's kinda wild how much that little piece drastically improves the look of the vehicle. I'm almost in the same boat as you; I kinda want Starscream now.

Same with Soundwave. That chest sticker does wonders for the overall appearance.

 

I'm just happy that they're announcing a drive to do more studio series sets. I was convinced that they just didn't care.

 

Ya, it can stay attached... It prevents the thruster panel from reorienting on to the back, but that isn't crucial to the transformation.

 

I was hoping they'd come up with a plate that covers his robot chest on the back of the alt-mode... Could turn into a shield or something to peg into his arm in robot mode.

 

I don't quite understand the sticker covering Soundwave's chest when he has the cassettes to fill in that part? Seems redundant to me?

 

Hasbro & Takara can't even finish their figures anymore. The fin on Starscream & Dai Atlas's hollow legs. WTF? And they constantly raise the prices & make the figures smaller & smaller.

 

I was hoping (and even sent an email to them suggesting it) that for a Siege Soundwave set they'd include an optional chest decal "Cassette Man" to make him look more like his pre-TF Microchange/Microman version. I'll pass on this set, but maybe Toyhax will make a Diaclone/Microchage specific sticker set someday and I'll be down for that!

The Siege Starscream fin is pretty awesome, and looks perfect. But most of the stickers are just... nothing needed.

The Siege Soundwave set I was highly anticipating, but I don't know if I like what they did. Both color tape deck chests look wrong. That blue is super out of place. I like how they have different styles for different tape deck modes. The eyes don't look right. Eh... I was really thinking this was going to be different.

The Greatest Hits Soundwave set looks really good, and the mold is better than the TR version of it. But this is a "pass" now because people passed on this mold release in favor of Siege Soundwave.

 

if Toy hax is reading this, please do something about Ironhides roof please !

 

DSA (deep space Arsenal) is planning upgrade feet (they look so much better) and a roof for ironhide

 

I did see the feet, they look really good actually. saw the comment on the roof too but havent seen anything yet.

 

Starscream tailfin? Yes please! My only gripe about the Soundwave set is that the visor has white streaks in it, and I'd've preferred complete red, but oh well

 

I buy sets for shits and giggles. So I got the G1 Minibot set, Soundwave, Inventa and and older MakeToys Pandinus set.

How were they supposed to "finish" Dai Atlus' legs? When those panels flip over in vehicle mode, anything sitting on top of them would have nowhere to go. They can't defy the laws of physics by having two objects occupying the same space.

 

I suspect it’s supposed to replicate light reflections, like cel shading. Same with the blue chest piece. That said, I agree that full red would have been nice
