This film any good? Couldn't find any discussion about it on the boards...well, discussion about whether it was good or not, anyways. I also haven't been able to watch it due to not having any means to do so.

Is it that horror film about the Apollo mission that didn't actually happen? I heard that wasn't that good.

Yea, that one. I saw some reviews saying it wasn't good, but saw more that said it was...but I thought ya'll might have better opinions. I hear it was kinda like Paranormal Activity...still haven't seen that either though.

It was ok. This was a found footage film I was actually looking forward to due to the whole NASA conspiracy thing and the poster for the movie. The movie looks great and if I didn't know better, I would assume it was actual archive footage at times. However, there are a lot of things that seem really stupid if you think about it.

I thought it was a neat idea that was poorly executed. Hard to keep up with at times and was overall pretty boring to sit through.

Good idea, poor execution? So not worth my time? I'm a space freak, so I thought maybe I'd like it. If it's not scary...no biggie. I did make it through Insidious, Poltergeist, & Darkness Falls just fine. Only reason I've needed the opinions - thank you, BTW - is because I have no means of watching without buying it. Also, I've been told a movie was stupid or not worth my time, but then actually enjoyed it. Most recent case was The Nightmare Before Christmas. Now, for those of you saying this was boring...it can't possibly be more boring than Rubber, can it??

What do you think of the one that started the genre in 1980 called "Cannibal Holocaust"? it's the one that influenced the 1st person persepective horror genre and is a cult classic. It's quite difficult to watch as it's quite realistic, ultraviolent and sadistic stuff as in fact it was so realistic that when it premiered in it's own country Italy and became a success, the director was arrested for they thought he actually made a snuff film but he proved to court that nobody was actually murdered within the found footage in the movie as the actors appeared in court to prove it was all make-up they were going through.

After watching Paranormal Activity today, I can have an opinion on these "found-footage" films. Honestly, I liked it. Something new & original. So, since I liked Paranormal Activity, would it be reasonable to assume I'd like Apollo 18? Obviously it won't scare me since Paranormal Activity didn't, but oh well.

PA is a piece of crap franchise, want better found footage horror, see REC, Cannibal Holocaust and Last Broadcast, the best ones.

I ALMOST bought this today...but some girl said it was terrible, so I decided to save my money for now. What did I actually come home with? The Paranormal Activity trilogy, Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, & the Resident Evil collection all on Blu-Ray. May have my mom buy Apollo 18 for me so I don't waste any of my own money...would rent it, but local library doesn't have it.

Sorry to revive this, but I bought Apollo 18 about a week ago after watching it online. I actually really enjoyed it. I also just had my mom buy me a 27"x40" Apollo 18 movie poster that I saw on eBay for $7...I was wanting a new poster, thought it looked cool.
