The new apc soundwave have been announced, but honestly I’m gonna pass. The original was already perfect and it just needed to be oversized and maybe add his tentacles but apc did literally nothing for the size problem. If apc just want to inflate the price by just adding accessories, you can count me out. I mean soundwave has is taller than bulkhead and apc makes him smaller than arcee.

 

I'm down with it. I never got the original TFP soundwave and when I finally did try to find it, the prices were outrageous. This looks like it will fill that gap quite nicely! thanks for posting!!

 

Same, but the fact it will cost like 40 bucks and be smaller than arcee and have like 2 more accessories while she had 4 is more outrageous to me. They ONE job and they still did it wrong . I think I’ll just do a custom soundwave. Starscream will be bigger than evil voice and I can’t accept that. In a display he will just look too small... 

 

wait, how tall was the original Hasbro version? I thought all the APC TFP bots were supposed to be KO Oversized, no? Or at least my APC Dark Master and OP are a bit bigger... I have the TFP RID Arcee (which is a touch smaller than the FO), so this particular APC should scale well with her.

 

I'm intrigued, but yeah, will need to see pics! I already love my Arms Micron version, and am okay with the Beast Hunters version.

 

I don’t know the exact scale but from what I have seen with apc he will probably be as tall as the original. Showz say he is oversized but at the same time they say arcee is legend class so...yeah... but with the rid arcee he should scale “pretty” well if you just want him a bit taller than her.

 

We can assume that it will have way more paint detailing than the original release, at least.

 

You’re right. I was wrong, The original is missing quite a few paint apps actually.

 

Yeahhh I really wish they’d oversized him I wanted a voyager to go with my Starscream but I’ll probably still get it since he’ll be screen accurate color and mold detail wise and they’re adding the tentacles. I also hope Laserbeak comes with better detail. I plan on using this guy in my stop motion series: The Covenant of Primus

 

Oh you do stop motion? That’s neat! I used to do some too but I started to learn animation but I definitely want to get back to it. Looking forward to your video . And yeah I agree I wanted him bigger, but I am still pretty tempted to get him. I was thinking about doing a diorama with him and wheeljack fighting since if apc doesn’t change the figure they should scale pretty well together.

It looks like this guy has a waist swivel. Did the original toy from TF Prime have a waist swivel? It's been almost a decade since I last handled my TF Prime Soundwave...

Yep. This doesn't look like it makes any meaningful changes to the original besides tentacles, face color, and not painting the fingers.

 

Who here wants a more accurate unicron megatron transformer?

 

What the! I expected more the level of their Prime and Megs. Properly scaled up if needed to scale with other Prime figs as APC Megatron was, and premium painted to be accurate. This looks like a KO of the original intead of APC's usual "improved, painted, remolded/slight reengineered" KO
