there are things that somewhat contradict previous transformers lore for the movie films. But I have some theories.

so based on AOE their are creator beings of the Transformers (which screams Quintessons!) and they cyberformed planets for materials to build transformers. But that doesn't mean they were able to give them a spark. hence the allspark. Based on expanded lore set up in Prequel comics which I consider cannon even if the movies don't, Transformers are hatched in pods (hatchlings.) The Quints most likely built the chasis and protoform stage of the Transformers and had them hooked to the allspark so they could be brought to life. The first being Primus, who here is the first cybertronian. However the allspark ran low on power so the quints built the primes, the head knights of cybertron to harvest the suns of planets to repower the allspark. And then the fallen betrayed them and plot of second movie... I use plot loosely lol. So that's the end of the primes and cybertron is left leaderless, the quints build another prime, Sentinel. However Sentinel leads the transformers to rebel against the quints and drive them off world, but since before this there was no more harvesting of suns, the allspark burns out of power. Sentinel tries to organize but the transformers split into tribes. He raids a Quint factory and finds the last created transformers before the planet went dark; Optimus and Megatron, both created to be the next knights of Cybertron. Sentinel raises both in the legend of the primes but the stories hold more truth to Optimus.

So the Primes were like the knights of cybertron and when Lockdown mentioned about crusading and what not I had a flash back to the prime stuff about harvesting suns. The ship lockdown had was most likely as ship used by the primes or the knight warriors of cybertron, the dinobots.

The Dinobots may have been created in inspiration to the Quints encounter with the Dinosaurs of earth.

So ill probably think of something if anyone finds fault with my theories feel free to express correction, calmly and politely though lol

Personally I don't think any of the previous movie films were contradicted. The timeline has simply been pushed back further.

I think it's just best to go with it and try not to over think it.

 

It could be, we don't know. The Creators were a new concept introduced into the canon by AOE, and were clearly (and correctly) set up to be further explored in TF5.

 

Yep, I didn't think anything got contradicted either, but it certainly complicated things.

It seems that Sentinel probably knew the full truth about the creators, while Optimus did not. The Knights of Cybertron group was not established to be working for the creators - quite the opposite, they were the first to rebel. Prime was a Knight, but he was the last one.

The hard part to explain is the time-disconnect. The Knights were operating at the same time as the original Primes harvesting suns. That means that the Prime dynasty was alive and well until ~6-10 thousand years ago, and at the same time, the Knights (likely lead by lesser-primes) were combing the stars to protect Cybertron from outside threats...namely the creators, even if they didn't remember exactly what the creators were anymore.





Honestly, it would be MUCH MUCH easier to just exclude Revenge of the Fallen from the official movieverse canon. Without that one film and all of the crap with the original Primes...the entire movieverse makes complete sense.

 

We don't know that, nor do we have any reason to think that.

 

My mind hurts after reading all that. God the movie mythology and back story keeps getting more and more complicated.

 

I figure that "Creators" are the Qunits and used the Allspark to bring life to the Transformers. When Optimus is doing the narration for the first movie and say "We know not where it comes from" Well it came from the Creators to create life. Although that does not mean they created the cube. The way I see it is its like G1. Creators create robots then robots come to life and rebel. G1 Vector Sigma= Movieverse All-spark.
