Oh...I'll take the G1 Grimmy over the movie version. These movie designs are all garbage.

I like the design, but hopefully a bigger version puts it together a little better.

 

Looks way better than the FoC one. I'll probably pick it up, if the leader doesn't turn out.

Hmm, the tail is unfortunate. They should have put ankles on the figure so you could at least straighten the Tail out completely

 

I like the colors and design of this toy, i dont have g1 fig so i really can't visual its size can you post more size comparison pics with the recent release?   TIA

 

Is it me or this looks more like the SHREDDER from TMNT than grimlock

 

Instead of kibble, I only see giant wrist guards.

I love it's design.

In terms of visual design right now, I like Voyager Grimlock more than the Leader class in pretty much every way.

 

It actually looks decent. Will probably pick it up when its released.

 

i hope there is a way or mod or fix to get the mouth to close, other than that i think the figure looks pretty sweet, but pls, photos of it next to foc and animated grimlock in both modes

 

He looks more human to me.

 

Sorry, it's just that I've hated every movie design so far, and these latest do nothing at all to change my mind on it. Grimmy looks like Shredder or a dinoranger, Hound is just terrible, the rest of the dinobot toys look a mess, Galvatron is just a shellformer with an ugly robot body, the only one I half like is the G1 inspired Optimus, and I only like the truck mode. Pass on all these movie toys unless I find them at a discount store like FiveBelow or Marshalls, because $5 is the most any of these are worth to me.

 

This guy is far from perfect, and yet he appeals to me much more than the Leader figure.
I think the dino mode is a bit more cohesive on the Leader version, but it's not as if that dino doesn't look weird either - and the robot mode looks a bit simplified.

I think I'd rather pick this one up than spend more on the Leader. They're both way too small anyway, so the bigger size doesn't help me in my decision.

Nothing I've seen thus far from the aoe line has caught my interest.
Hoping for a more advanced version of the new OP design at some point.
Being Optimus Prime the odds of multiple molds is given, so there's that.

 

The T-rex head would look better if you flipped up the "ears" behind the eyes.

 

someone told me I need to stop living in G1, that this is the movieverse/bayverse and I need to grow up and except change....this is bayverse.....ok.... I still dont understand. if this is bayverse and bayverse characters why are you using G1 names? its your verse, use your names. but you do target old school fans like myself, because we know who grimlock is we know who hound, OP,BB etc. we know who they are by just looking at them. im sorry this just doesn't say grimlock to me. maybe some type of beast hunter squad but not dinobots, slug maybe the exception. god knows im trying to accept it but this aint sitting right with me at all.

 

Yeah, I'll stick with my Classic's and FOC versions of Grimlock.

That Bayformer just doesn't cut it!

Besides what's the hype around such a massive thing when Optimus is slapping it around in the trailer like Bay has him do everything. #Predictable #Boring #LAME!
