Which do you think is better... AOE's Takara Galvatron or Hasbro Galvatron?
I'll wait to see a proper review of Takara. So far his face looks weird with all the paint. We'll see.
Not much of difference to justify buying Takara's.
Personally speaking, neither. To me Galvatron just has so many strikes against him,and these are just a few examples.
1.That head on him is just flat out butt ugly.
2.The design has absolutely no resemblance to G1 at all.
3.His transformation is plain at best.
4.Compared to Optimus or Lockdown (and Hound) he just looks lousy.
As for why I don't like the Galvatron figure may be because after seeing DOTM Megatron in the best design ever as an old tanker truck I just think nothing can top Megs altmode. So forgive me for saying that but its the truth.
Your preaching to choir my friend. However I still need to complete the collection.
I just ordered the Hasbro one for less than $20 Prime shipped.
What's the Tak one look like?
Neither are realy more accurate. Hasbro's version's face is practically invisible. Takara's picks out the face itself, but the thick grey paint muddles all the details. So neither really achieves anything there.
I don't even remember any other details.
So I vote butter.
Transformers 4 - Lost Age - AD22 - Galvatron
neither for me. never liked movie Galvy's design in the first place. But I'd say in your case, give Takara's version a buy.
Buy either one and then do this with it....
If I had to choose one, I'd say Hasbro's. Takara's extra few blotches of paint aren't worth the extra $15
Still a shitty-ass excuse of a figure.
Probably waiting until he hits clearance or something.
So it's a question of buying a steaming pile or an expensive steaming pile, huh?
Speaking from experience, it's a very poor figure when compared to Prime, Hound and even Grimlock. The figure feels weak, the hip and high knee articulation are just plain bad, and the profile is pretty much hollow. I'm honestly glad I don't own it anymore, as the Power Attacker actually looks better.
So, my vote is with Split- Butter.
The answer is nope.
A shit toy is a shit toy, a different paint-job can't save it.
Yeah... pretty much this.
Honestly, wait on it, and get the Hasbro version. It will be marked down before too long.
For USA, it is an extra $30. The average price for them is $50-$65
Takara looks better (a rarity these days) but the Hasbro one's cheaper and it's not much of a huge difference.
Hasbro, because that toy is not worth paying Takara Voyager price for.
Separate names with a comma.
