This was the height I got Shockwave at too - in between Scream and Megs. I think it’s quite a fitting size too. Looking to see how Soundwave stacks up in that chart! I’d also like to know how big the Dreads are. A quick glance from me got them at the same height as Barricade, which feels really off. But numbers are numbers. How do you negotiate with them?
Oh Soundwave is 22 feet like he was in the ROTF chart. Crankcase I found was, like you said, somewhere around Barricade’s height, if not a little bigger (I’m guessing the intent was 18 feet since that’s what Berserker’s height is). Crowbar is super crouched so I’m guessing his would’ve been 18 too, and Hatchet seemed to be 10-12 feet tall depending on where you measure him. With that chart tho, it’s a little hard to tell where certain characters sit because of the slant that it’s at as well as the blurriness of lines, so I mainly work off of what we already know about characters to see what works and what doesn’t.
Topspin has been 17 feet this whole time. I always thought he looked weird next to Roadbuster when he was only 16 feet.
I got roughly 25 feet (at the head) for Devcon: Wouldn’t mind seeing him in another series cause he really needed more screen time. Perhaps he could be a giant mechanized walker vehicle for G1 Devcon to ride in. Kind of blend the two versions together.
Decided to scale Megatron’s other two cybertronian alts: Got these measurements for the tank, the length being the same as the SS toy: As for the jet, I got the same length as the RG scale charts. Not sure about the wingspan since I could only find a bird’s eye of the leader class figure, but the proportions of that jet seem accurate enough: Oh and, on an unrelated note, Rampage, Skipjack, and Buckethead (Devastator’s left hand) turn into Caterpillar D9L’s. Not D10N’s.
Alright, final Grindor post (because I’ve finally torn the forest fight apart so thoroughly that I feel no uncertainty in my estimations): Grindor is 55 feet tall, as that is the height he has when standing next to Megatron, meaning Prime is using his 28 foot height when he takes Grindor down (a real David and Goliath battle right there): Grindor’s downscaled form is 40 feet (originally I eyeballed it as being 38 feet): And when it’s all said and done, this is the group shot you get: Man I would kill for a leader class SS ROTF Prime upscaled to be the same height as SS Shockwave with hook, sword, and gun accessories. And of course battle damage as well. Would go great with some commander class Jetfire and Grindor figures. Oh and on one last interesting note, TFwiki also got a 55 foot estimate for Grindor. Can’t recall any other time I’ve seen that site estimate a character’s height so that’s a funny coincidence.
Grindor being about 55' tall in that shot has been pretty common knowledge for a while now I think. I heard it years ago
It seems like most people think he’s 50 feet because of the scale charts here. I’ve also known about the 55 foot estimate for awhile now though. I just never did any scale work to see how accurate it was until now.
So close yet so far. We still don’t have an official height for BBM Arcee, but at least we now have confirmation that she was taller than the other car-type bots. I mean we kind of already knew that, but having the confirmation from an insider is nice. Wish they’d just start releasing official scale charts like back in the first two films. Those were really cool.
Over the years, I’ve noticed inconsistencies with the ways the Fallen and Jetpower Optimus are portrayed in people’s scale charts, so I went through and did my best to scale the final battle of ROTF: The result was basically just confirmation of all known official heights. Prime at 28 and 32 feet, Megatron at 35 feet, Jetpower Prime at 40 feet at his head, and the Fallen at 42 feet.
So has BB Optimus being 16ft horseshit been debunked? He looks way bigger than 16ft in ROTB's trailer.
It already has been debunked for a while now when we were told by Threezero he's supposed to be 20ft: 3A DLX Optimus Prime-Bumblebee Movie

Interesting. The footage from BB and ROTB would suggest he’s about 22 feet. Perhaps they were rounding? Cause the heights of other characters can’t really be squished much farther. Maybe another foot lower at best for some of them.
Personally I think even 20ft is a bit small, but 22ft makes more sense. Plus it's the same height as G1 Optimus, which the BB aesthetic seems to be emulating .
Scales perfectly if you use Prime’s 32 foot height. Which I must say, is really starting to grow on me. Especially since it helps validate Bee’s size changing between 16 and 18 feet and 11 and 15 feet. And Grindor’s size changing as well now that I think about it. Although Grindor’s was a much more dramatic 15 foot height change. Then again….hmmm. Gotta check something. Nevermind I don’t know where to begin on the math. Not this late at night at least lol
