She turned into a tiny version of the jet then, correct? Because even in the film they didn't mass shift this much.

Yeah, it seems obvious to me that Shatter and Dropkick scanned the aircraft forms and just applied the shapes to their existing size and mass (it's not unprecendented; in RID they showed that Cybertronians can scan a vehicle and then take on just one aspect of its form). Given that their ability to scan a new form while retaining a previously scanned form isn't explained, or even mentioned, I don't think being able to adjust a scanned vehicle's dimensions to fit their mass is totally unbelievable.

Honestly, though, they couldve left them just with the car forms. Aside from the scene on the tower, their flight modes weren't really essential to the story.

Whatever the explanation is (shrinking, small version of a jet, animation cheating, or just folding up really small), I love it. Transformers isn't about realism, it's very much science fiction. Honestly, I feel like the pseudo-realism of the other films was probably a bad thing. It seems to have conditioned people into thinking everything has to adhere to real-world science. Transformers is a goofy concept overall, and I love how this design just embraces it. I prefer fun over pseudo-realism any day. I'm still not sure why robots having human mouths and lips is fine, but a sports car changing into a Harrier is "too far" for some people.

Pretty sure in the movie she didn't mass shift THAT much...

They probably just did a good job hiding it, using clever camera angles and whatnot. It's possible that the jet was a shrunken down CGI model for the scene where she went from jet to car, but for all intents and purposes, she was supposed to be a full size Harrier.

The sizes in this movie are definitely a mess. The problem was they made Bumblebee short to match him up better with Charlie for intimacy’s sake, but because of that, they had to shrink everyone else.

Its not just mass shifting, all the sizes are so inconsistent and hilarious. Shatter, dropkick and Bee all change sizes from shot to shot. Its been like that before but not at this level.

Shatter and Dropkick are definitely waaay too massive when they meet S7.

And here was still plenty of cheating going on even in the first movie, the 'realism' thing was bullshit from the start. Not to be picky, but Transformers are more fantasy than sci-fi; sci-fi deals with the conceivably possible, fantasy not so much (though I always felt KSI kind of lent a sci-fi edge to AOE).

Agree to disagree. That's what is so great about this franchise: a multitude of opinions. But you know what would have been fun? Tank Blitzwing.

Is there a chart with the scale of ROFT Megatron? Im thinking about buying the BMB Megatron or the Dream Factorys version. There is a scene where megatron kills optimus, and they are in the same height. But i think Meg should be a little big bigger like the scale beetwen the BMB optimus and meg.

I think @Red Goblin made these. It says Prime is 28ft and Megatron is 35ft.
