I noticed all of the wave 3 deluxes at Botcon are marked for an October release. That's insane. Release wave 1 and 2 before the movie is out and then wait MONTHS to release wave 3... And by then will there even be any time left for a wave 4 or 5? This seems like an incredibly tiny toy line. I remember RotF having like 3 times more toys than this. What is going on? This is a shame since I'm actually liking this line...and it seems like it's already over save for one wave in October.
1) don't know but I hope we get more Voyagers cause I want a Lockdown,and WS Optimus Prime. 2)I think that since its under the Generations line it's half movie toys and half generations.
I don't think it works that way. Generations Classics/IDW is a different SKU than Generations AoE. What one line does isn't going to impact how the other line works.
Yeah looks like it might end up being a small line. With ROTF most stores had wave 1 and 2 side by side on the shelves at launch, some did with DOTM too. With AOE it seems they are trying to stretch the waves out to last as long as possible. If wave 3 hits around October a wave 4 if there is one may hit for the holiday rush. That may be it after that since most stores wont restock the shelves till sometime in mid to late February or so with the toy isles looking like barren wastelands until then. After that might be mostly none movie based with the exception of an occasional repaint here or there.
As long as the waves don't get cancelled like DOTM's line. I care not. I'm going to be mad at Hasbro forever because of that.
Yeh and by the time waves 3-n-4 come out kids are going to want the talking raccoon from DOTG. As for isles being barren,some of the stores in my area haven't restock the deluxe pegs since last month.
