My 2 local walfarts have AOE toys out.
Dammit I was just about to post this. Found them at a WalMart in GA.
So did I!
Hmm..$19.99 for a shitformer or $24.99 for a voyager,I smell a shelf warmer here.
Ah mines at Athens/Oconee.
These toys are made in Vietnam?
If this is true then that's awesome. I should keep on the look out.
Ya I'll never understand the street date thing either on toys. Now on DVD's and games ya I understand but for toys is just kind of ridiculous. I remember going to a Walmart (pretty far from where I live) and they had all the RotF toys out on the shelves but got up to the register and they rang up "do not sale". The manager came up and told me they probably have been recalled and I said no its because you broke the street date. I told them they should sell them since they are out but they would not budge. So to me its just best to wait until the actual day they are suppose to be put out. Of course just watch some Walmarts won't even have most of the stuff out by the street date.
I'm sad to say I don't care...there's not one of the new movie figures I want.
Or...Take a Deluxe or Voyager class BH or Generations toy to the register with a Deluxe or Voyager AoE and have them ring it up as those. Most won't even bat an eye at any differences.
Did any of ou actually find Deluxes, Voyagers and Leaders?
Where do you guys come up with this stuff?
That's not true either. You scan the first one, they'll want to scan the second one too. If you scan the second one first, they'll get a street date message and they won't be able to sell it.
This might work on the exact same item, but it won't work with what your suggesting at all. Each item has to be either scanned or punched in with a quantity amount for the inventory/POS system.
And if it did happen to you, I guarantee that cashier was eventually fired for improper scanning of merchandise. Cashiers are supposed to attempt to scan everything that comes through their line, and if that doesn't work, either get the same exact item or punch the number in.
Hey! Look everybody! Here's MY Walmart. I get to see this month after month after month.
Maybe I should paint a couple yellow helicopter blades on that & pretend they have Whirl!?! The most worthless fuckin store out of them all!
Are there actual Deluxes, Voyagers and Leader at US retail?
From what I have read it's just the garbage one step transformation stuff. Might be that Hasbro knew it was crap and lifted the Street Date on it to try to actually move them.
I feel the need to point out that Wally World usually is warned by their system on check out about the street dates.
Thats actually pretty smart. Knowing any early product would sell, release the crap before it gets lost in the (clearance) shuffle.
