I don't understand when "Classics" became "Throw in anything you want and call it "Classics." As if Classics, Universe 2.0 and Classics RTS and Generations didn't establish a CLEAR design standpoint that "Classics" are G1 characters modernized and/or re-imagined to be modern interpretations of their original G1 forms.

I'll just go and take my Human Alliance Sideswipe and call it a Masterpiece G1 Sideswipe. Because that's apparently what people do.

But no, do what you want with your collection. But please, let's not pretend that "Classics" is just a word to throw in anything and everything you want. Just like how Masterpiece is a very defined line, I think Classics is the same.

I'd like to see them in Decepticon colors and be the counter to the Autobot Dinobots. Grimlock woulb be a good Charcharodontosaurus, Scorn an Irritator, etc etc. They certainly have a menacing look about them, although I'd tone down all the spikes and what not.

 

They work about as well as ROTF Sideswipe works for Classics Bluestreak. Because they're both silver cars.

In other words, they don't work at all.

yea, lol he asked if they would fit. and they wouldn't. this isn't about opinion. they just do not fit.

it's like putting an animated figure in with a bunch of movie figures. it's just going to look really out of place, and silly.

Sure they fit in a sense...at least when considering "Classics" are similar but updated versions of G1 figures...they have armored up versions of their G1 alts...similar but updated...Kup has a earth mode alt now in the Generations line...similar but updated...Wheeljack has a new alt mode with hints of his G1 self in the Generations line...similar but updated...Powerglide has been upsized in the Universe line...similar but with some change...so maybe it boils down to what you consider "Classics"...

 

No, Robot mode is way off. If they do G1 colors as mentioned by others here it could work for some people in Dino mode. I will just use MP figures, Grimlock looks great with Classics.

Nah. Most people are acknowledging that the Dinobots are good, but just about as far from G1 as you can get.

 

It's your collection, so only you can decide what works for you. Personally I put my Slug aka Slag as having been affected by Nucleon, next to FOC Grimlock.

 

Since Hasbro doesn't want to do any other Classic G1 Dinobots not named Grimlock , I'll gladly put these dinobots in with my Classics whether they fit or not. Besides, they will be staying in their dino modes anyway. Of course, I would gladly replace them with G1 repaints if Hasbro releases some at a more appealing price.

Yeah, for some odd reason the only criteria you need to be a "Classics" toy nowadays is to be comprised of plastic. I remember when they rolled out that ROTF Hoist that everyone touted as the "perfect Classics Hoist". I wonder how many of them kept it when Generations Hoist came out?
