so im new here, but not new to customs, ive always been into gundam, but a few transformer customs, taking my old movie combiner, and everything wrong with him, i decided to see if i could do better... with the dinobots... and undertaking to say the least, but i am nearly done with detailing, but ill let the few pictures talk for themselves

    his intended paint style

What's this? A Dinobot combiner...that doesn't use cannabalised parts from a Unicron or Primuse figure? A combiner that looks....original? HALLELUJAH!!!

Woah. I would never have guessed that someone would make an AOE Dinobot combiner. A very good one at that, too!

Ummm, but isn't that exactly what you've done here? Taken your giant robot guy and just replaced parts of him with Dinobots?

Nope, I don't see a giant robot guy.
Looks like it's made with lego parts covered with constructibles card pieces.

here he is compared to primus [IMG]
and this is what i used to construct his bodyparts if any of you were curious
    [IMG][IMG]
so far i have been adding pieces to make him more movie looking [IMG][IMG][IMG]
and heres his head [IMG] and im not sure what to do with his leftover weapons [IMG] it kindof looks a little bit of a mess, but once its painted itll be better hopefully

:jawdropper: :jawdropper:  This. Is. Amazing. It's always a breath of fresh air to see a combiner not use unicron/ primus as a base. But this thing is just astounding. Also I love the head design it fits the movie dinobots aesthetic perfectly. Can't wait to see it finished:thumb

That looks AMAZING!!! ....but i feel the head needs to be a little more knightlike .........perhaps some of the concept art of the silver knights by josh nizzi would help

Maybe..... I don't know, I'll have to make a second and then compare them,

Now this is only my second combiner, and it's my first commission, so don't get too excited, I have considered taking more commissions in the future tho if you are serious,

Yea shouldn't be too long, all I have to do is disassemble grimlock, and Ben paint this arm, leg and body, mabye make a new head as horsiememmo suggests

This is very creative, I cannot wait to see the finish product. Glad that you make use of all these "not so good" figures to make them into a masterpiece :)
