I do really appreciate Takaratomy to release this version of cancelled trilogy series soundwave. But can't you give a weapon with him, even a tiny plastic piece though.....

Definitely getting this soon! Never got the original DOTM version and I love the color scheme. Just wish it came with the weapon.

 

not including the weapon was pretty shitty of them.

 

That color scheme is gorgeous....

sadly, I do not feel I can justify the cost of importing him. Already have the original release of that mold anyways.

The deco is neat but the mold itself is kinda meh. Not too fun to transform and pose, and he's definitely fiddly and kibbly to a fault. I much prefer the Human Alliance version of the character. If only TT would re-release the HA mold with silver paint this time (I'd imagine a black version would look pretty slick too). They didn't even bother to include his mechtech weapon either? Wat?

Weird that he still has the Mechtech ports, but no weapon to put in them...

Maybe Mercedes Benz did not want a weapon to be associated with their car in this version or the fact that none of the Movie advanced toys have mechtech weapons shows that they do not want to use those molds. I am sure if Takaratomy wanted to they would include a basic weapon. Price would not be a problem since they can individually price the toys to whatever they want. It looks good overall.

 

Too bad he's not silver, ah well.

 

I wouldn't mind picking him up at retail, but at import prices, he's a big ole pass.

 

Definitely looks like Mr. Evil McEviltron in that paint job.

 

I prefer more paint details than a shitty mech tech weapon. Looks nice.

 

He didn't need to have a Mechtech weapon, but some kind of weapon would've been nice. I mean, Dispensor got the can shooter, Jolt has new whips, Dino has the blades, Ratchet has a sword, and Starscream got axes. Poor Soundwave got hosed.
