I have been looking into Tap Plastics Window Film for UV protection, and added security for break-ins. Has anyone used this material, and does it work well? What types of UV protection are out there? http://www.tapplastics.com/product/window_films/window_tint_films/safety_window_film/313
I don't currently use it, but I've been looking for something like this. I wonder how difficult it would be to apply to Detolf glass.
You may have to take apart the case. But I don't see why it wouldn't work.. It says it's supposed to keep the glass from shattering all over the place. I do wonder how it would do to keep burglars out?
I'm curious about this stuff too. Right now I have florescent lights where my figures are, and I was hoping I could just layer this on the light shield in front of the bulbs to make it so they won't get so much damage from it. Since that's like the worst type of lighting for figures after sunlight.
Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see how putting this on a glass case is going to prevent theft when the thief can just open the door.
Its supposed to make window glass harder to break as well as prevent UV rays. So, more prevention of thieves getting in the house/apt than the cases.
