Yeah. I ain't rich enough to get an Xbox 360. Anyone out there on the intertubes still playing this box? And while we're at it, does anyone knows where I can still buy games for the original Xbox?

Sucks that it doesn't have Xbox Live anymore....

 

I got one for free but no games. Also I have the DVD dongle but no remote. Can I just buy a new remote loose or do they have to be a pair?

 

It comes in a pair, but you might be able to find one on ebay or some other sites.

 

I still have mine... collecting dust. Its modded with I think a 120GB HDD. Its packed with games, but the only games I can remember being on it are: The Guy Game, Leisure Suit Larry, and DOA Extreme Beach Volleyball... with nude patch.

 

I have kicked around the idea of buying one to play the original Fable on.

 

I still revisit previous DOA games and Panzer Dragoon Orta.

 

LOL! I played that game like 10 times now. Right now, I'm stuck on completing my career for Forza Motorsports with a '69 Camaro SS.

 

I've thought about buying the original Xbox. Just for show.

 

I need one for my retro gaming entertainment center. Got a few titles that aren't backwards compatible with 360.

Seemed like last year everyone had them for 19.99 used, now they want $40 for the same thing. Gonna have to troll craigslist to see if I can obtain a used one on the cheap.

 

I had been using mine up until a month or so ago. I used it mainly as a media player (its modded) and a workout device. I had a workout game that I actually used. Since it died I have just switched to an actual computer to play my media and just don't workout now.

I still play with the original Nintendo. Mostly Mario 1-2-3, Bases Loaded and Tetris.

Depending on where you live, there are always second-hand gaming stores that sell old games. The Game Over store down the street from me has a buttload of Xbox games, including some of the great ones.

 

I don't own an original Xbox but sometimes I play fable and the first 2 halos on my 360

 

well, amazon.com is a good place to find xbox games. or you can check online to find a GameXchange or Vintagestock in your area.

i still play the xbox. last game i got was a week ago. Voodoo Vince.

I still have mine but probably not for much longer. Most of the games I have for it play well on the 360 so I am still thinking about selling it.

 

I used to, but I got rid of everything except my copy of Morrowind:GotY Ed. which plays on my 360 anyways.

You know, you can get a refurbished 360 at Gamestop for like $100-120, and sometime find them even cheaper on places like Craigslist.

 

99% of original xbox's on ebay will be soft modded

 

My old XBox, which I modded the same week I purchased it 6-7 years ago, has been recycled into a media player in my daughter's playpen in the basement where it plays mostly Disney movies.



Back then, I went all-out in customizing it, adding cold cathode tubes, blue LEDs, and a nice acrylic laser-cut Decepticon jewel:



Other than that, I'll use it to play the odd NES/SNES game via emulation. Still works great after all these years.
