"Man and Machine! Power Extreme!" They were cool toys.
Hey, I have a ton of the Centurions but don't have any references to figure out what goes to what. Does anybody know of an online info guide to these things? Any help would be awesome!
crystal beam me down skybolt....POWER EXTREEEEMMEEEE! that cartoon was awesome.
According to this page CM (and I) are missing a lot:
I never realized they made toys for Rex Charger and John Thunder. I wonder if they were only released in europe.
I only had Dr Terror I picked up at a school "garage sale". My neighbor had all the good guys. To this day, I occasionally check for Ace and see if he's going for an amount I'd get him for. Then I usually forget though.
holy crap! Detonator! Skybolt! i loved those things.
i want an updated Centurions toyline, in Sigma Six scale [which is more or less similar in size to the originals anyway].
Maaaaan, i LOVED that show. Just watched every episode about a month ago. As soon as the Visa debt is cleared it's time for a hunt. Thanks for the pics CM.
crystal, beam me a bud and sammich....LAZY BOY EXTREME!
Thanks for the link. That's the first time seeing those Rex Charger and John Thunder toys as well.
Only a few of mine are complete, the rest are missing missles or a wing etc.
Checked a few online stores selling them complete (for the pics ) was a big help for identifying parts.
There's a Centurions catalog online for sale , but for $25. agh
I am pretty sure the Rex Thunder and John Charger stuff was never produced (looks like catalog scans). I have a ton of pics of loose complete figures saved on my hard drive if anyone wants me to email them copies (not sure where i got them from though).
I would be interested in any doubles or Centurions for sale. I also have a few spare parts to trade. Check out my Website www.action-figures.ca for my trade list. There's a bit more info on the line in my sites forums as well, though i haven't added a Centurions section to my website yet as I don't have enough of the toys to take pics of.
Wow I actually remember these toys from way back. Never wanted them tho. Now if they can rerelease Mask I may be tempted to pick a few of them up.
I can't get rifd of my Centurions
Like a previous poster mentioned... Seems familiar, but I'm drawing a blank. Even looking at them, I don't remember. Anyone wanna give the rundown on the story/gimmick?
I remember those - story was something about a crazy doctor/cyborg who wanted to take over the world and those three had to stop them or some crap like that.
I remember that the missiles on those things were insane - The big green tank thing's missile were huge and shot all the way across the room - could cause bruises if you were lucky.
Ahh those were the days. . .
Dude I still have the blue guy (Ace?) and the green guy (Max?)...I had the yellow guy too but he's awaol I so need to find those things, I forgot how bad@$$ those power suits looked!
Can anyone remember where this Centurions 3.75" figure came from ?
Haha, well need a buyer then?
Story is like what slideshot said..
Doctor Terror (Red bad-ass half-robot dude) wants to take over the world with his cyborg companion, Hacker (Blue bald half-robot dude) and his robotic drone minnions and it's up to the Centurions to stop them. This team consist of:
Max Ray - Brilliant Sea Operations Commander (Green costume dude)
Jake Rockwell - Rugged Land Operations Specialist (Orange costume dude)
Ace McCloud - Daring Air Operations Expert (Blue costume dude)
Then every cartoon ep is about new plots hatched by Doc Terror and it's up to the Centurions to stop him/other forces who are crazed as well...
That's Jake Rockwell - bare naked without any of his Assault Weapons Systems (AWS)
They were sold alongside the big figures, in boxes. The only smaller Centurion I had was the Ace. He came with several little parts to snap on, the main one being a jet pack that you could extend and use as a pair of working binoculars. They worked about as well as Perceptor's microscope capabilities, but it was cool. The figure itself was a little cheaper feeling than the larger ones and not quite as articulated.
There is a link to them at the bottom of this page:
Here's the one I had
Fun Fact: Jack Kirby contributed designs to the show and it was animated by Japanese animation studio Sunrise.
We've got another thread started from a while back. For those of you looking for more Centurions talk, here it is.
I think they need to be merged or something.
I had a Centurions Christmas one year. God I miss those things.
