Also, just a thought, but I've been toying with the thought that FP may have some plans regarding the combiner parts. I don't know that it WILL happen, but I wouldn't be one little bit surprised if we saw the combiner parts released in a box ala Superion's upgrade set, colored to match the original Energon Barricade, and tweaked to suit Battle Gaia's colors in places, or possibly the colors of G2 Bruticus.

 

^ very likely. I was thinking the same thing..sorta. I was thinking that there has to be a reason for these two to come out. Why these colors? There has to be something else to it. If not, they are still cool.

Battle Gaia!

Here you go. Apologies for the semi-crappy photos. Just excited to put him together. He looks great though. I think I like this colorway better than the original, which is currently in my display case. And man...this was expensive to put together.

 

you know, I have the new fp guys in my pol at bbts, and recently got gunbarrel and reverb for this very reason. I've been pondering getting a second munitioner, explorer, and barricade to have a full-on battle gaia next to my bruticus, but these pics convinced me otherwise. there's definitely just something that works with all of the figures as bruticus that doesn't work for me as battle gaia.

so what I think I'll do is have the four gaia limbs standing around bruticus like a combatacon assault squad, that could, at any time, replace the limbs in battle, kind of like how junkions at any time would transform to be ridden by their comrades into battle.

The problem is that it still doesn't look like Battle Gaia. Battle Gaia's body and yead were black and blue with silver and yellow accents.

It's cool to have the limbs on there to "say" you have Battle gaia, but honestly, I wish there was an alternate Crossfire accessories set with the black to actually look like the figure.

As a Free-Combiner, Battle Gaia's component robots can consciously rearrange themselves into new formations in response to a certain predicament. With Shuttle Gunner and Target Hawk as his legs in the Flying Formation, he can surge upward at incredible speeds. Using Sandstorm and Leyland as his legs in the Dash Formation, his running speed increases greatly. Accessing the Crash Formation with Leyland and Target Hawk as his arms, his destructive powers are greatly enhanced. And by creating the Fire Formation with Sandstorm and Shuttle Gunner as his arms, he can utilize all the fire-power of his individual components.


Those pictures are awesome too btw, hes it looks better than I thought it would. Ive been procrastinating digging up reverb and gunbarrel since I got flameblast and warcry but, not anymore ^^. Gonna find them shits TONIGHT!

 

Quick little something I threw together. Agreed on needing Onslaught to be more blue and his chest are to be black. Maybe a combination of repaint of Onslaught and the mod from this thread would produce some good results:
