Armada was the seires That started me on transformers and was when I found this site. I like the "Unicron battles" story arc. I hated Hotshot, and the dubbing. But i liked it. anyone else?

 

RID was what got me started on TFs, but Armada was pretty good. Then again, I didn't see much of the cartoon, collect many of the toys, and I was in 2nd grade at the time....

Armada is actually my fourth fave tf series I kijed it alot and now let the bashing begin

I love armada, but I grew up with it. I remember after school, I'd come home and watch it. Transformers, NUNUNUNUNU, NUNUNU! Love the theme song.

 

Beast Wars and RID was really the first series I'd ever watched. I never saw Armada in it's prime, so I bought the DVDs to see what I'd missed. Turns out I love it very much. Optimus Prime's and Starscream's deaths were all worth watching. Balled my eyeballs out for days.

 

I greatly prefer the original version (Micron Legend).

 

My favorite part about Armada was that I actually got my first Decepticon (Cyclonus) and I loved the first of several comics that came with him, though the show never captured the magic of the comic. Megatron and Prime's designs were fantastic.

 

Armada was okay, although the second half was better than the first. One of the best Ops/Megs fights too IMHO. Armada gave us the Unicron figure and I liked the G1 nods in the series.

 

i also loved the characterization given to starscream and the end battle was the best one ever

 

I didn't dislike Armada. The cartoon had a weak and repetitive start, but a pretty strong finish. I found it interesting for having a more interesting Dinobot-like take on Starscream, and a somewhat more honorable version of Megatron.

 

I grew up with G1. When I first saw armada, I didn't like how much it was focused on the kids. I recently watched the whole series, and I really liked it. I loved the way megs was characterized at the end.

 

Armada was mediocre with the first 19 episode, but then it got better with episode 20 and beyond.

Comics were better than the series in my opinion.

 

I enjoyed Armada. The early eps were hit or miss, but once it hit the second half it really took off. it mostly suffered as did the entire Unicron trilogy from being entirely too long, stretching the animation budget thin, and shoehorning in filler that fails to advance the story. If you cut Armada down to about 26 episodes you'd have a really solid series. Though I could say the same for both of the followup series as well.

Still just like G1 the bad stuff was bad and the good parts made the bad stuff worth watching. Then again I was the TF fan who loved everything until Animated came out, but that's an entirely different can of worms that I won't open here.

 

It was okay, and like Shibamura_Prime said, there are worse out there. I like Optimus's design and Starscream, as well as most of the episode Cramp.

But those kids pissed me off. ESPECIALLY Alexis. >.<

 

twas a fine series i rank it 4th over all, although i usually group it with Energon and Cybertron as the Unicron Trilogy

 

Personally, I like Armada simply for the fact that the series gave us a great Unicron figure.

 

actually Armada pulled me back into TF's I would tape the episodes then write my stories on Monday. It started from Ep Mars and went through to the end I missed the earlier episodes so I'm getting them on DVD from Atomic DVD here in Australia
