I tried so many searches and I couldn't find anything. I use to think it was Ben Procter, but I'm sure it is not.

Whoever it was deserves a cookie. That's a badass design. I'd suggest someone go through all those portfolio sites and see if they can find concepts. Maybe they'll say who did it?

I don't know, but his design should totally replace generic green-and-purple dude number 3 forever.

I don't know but I sure wish they would of made him in a voyager size toy. I really liked him in all his 15 seconds of fame in the movie!

I'm pretty sure Bonechrusher was an after-thought. Considering i can only find two pieces of concept art including him...

He was most likely not designed by Ben Proctor as the concept art is very lacking in detail. However Ben Proctor definitely had some imput defining the design as the design mirrors several of his key looks and the feel of his work.

ILM and Digital design probably had a lot of imput as they had to create and design him quickly to fit with filming angles on the chase scene.

Leader Class Starscream & Voyager Bonecrusher

    I believe there was talk of the following;

Voyager Bonechrusher, Unfrozen Voyager Megatron and Leader Starscream for the first movie toyline... however online Starscream came to light during the second film after fan demand increased.

The demand for a leader class Blackout petered out into the introduction of Grindor for the second movie as they only had the money on toys to release one additional leader figure per year. This lead to the introduction of Brawl in the first year - who they thought would be a more popular character.

The Unfrozen Voyager Megatron was scrapped and they started working on the ROTF voyager.

A voyager bonecrusher would've been nice back then, but I like how good in scale he looks next to Mixmaster.

The Artist who made Bonecrusher is prob. the same who made Barricade, again just a theory.

    I'd like to know, too.

I wish they'd do designer commentaries with these movies. I want to hear the true motivation behind the Dreads, Starscream, the Wreckers, and Bonecrusher. (With the roller feet and claw)

Indeed, i actually felt he would have been better as a voyager back then, considering that Barricade was pretty much just a black Bumblebee/Prowl and was only popular because of the police car alt mode.

Bonechrusher was also an interesting character - in terms of him having little screen time yet a large impact as he is the first major character Optimus fights - if memory from 2008 (When i last watched the first movie) is still good >.<

A real shame that the Voyager Bonecrusher was canceled. I would've paid good money to get my hands on one of those! (He's my favorite Bayformer...)

I remember a big interview from Scott Benza here on TFW, where he told about his work and interaction with Michael Bay. Several times he reminded Bonecrusher.

Something I would love is if ILM released a video with every transformer model doing a 360 rotation, I know optimus and a few others got one, so why cant the others get some love?

Already know what? what are you claiming I dont know?

if you were a little bit more coherent, you would be understandable.
