It's supposed to look like a wave . It's from the front of my handlebars from my bike as a kid. I was looking through old pics and I can't remember what brand it is. I tried googling different brands of bikes I knew and couldn't find it. Was bought in 1995, NY/USA. Kids bike, probably something cheap.
I'm not seeing that as a bike brand. Did Quicksilver ever make kids bikes? It was a regular bike, pink/purple/blue. Not a BMX bike or anything fancy.
No, I just have a picture of me riding towards the camera. So it's just the front of the bike, the logo is mostly blocked by the pink basket. I can see half that symbol, but I remember the rest. I have no other pictures. Otherwise it looks like any other little girls bike. White tires, purple handlebars, white handle bar grips, pink body in the front and light blue in the back. No other markings.
It does look like that Roadmaster one. If roadmaster ever did black/silver logos. I've only seen the name plaster on those ones. Ah, that's not for roadmaster bikes I think? The Roadmaster bike logo is a "R"
I tried searching but the only ones that are close to it are birds' head and stylized leaves. But I did find a funny logo of a bear riding one of those old-timey bicycles with the big wheel in the front. And a supposed secret meaning to the Nintendo GameCube logo. :/ Sorry I couldn't be much help.
Hm. Not sure that Bontrager ever branded kids’ bikes; they’re Trek’s in-house accessory brand for tires and handlebars and things. Do we know roughly what year, and where it was purchased? I’m guessing it was a department store or toy store bike?
Apologies that this won't be the most helpful answer, but I think short of tracking down a TRU catalogue from back in the day you'd be hard pressed to pin down an actual brand name and model, the majority of department store bikes are a bit like store brand food, a generic model with the store's in-house branding (or superheroes, cartoons, etc.) on them.
Just because it was a fun excuse for a scavenger hunt, went down the rabbit hole last night looking for this thing. Given when and where it was purchased, I think it’s either a Rallye or a Roadmaster. Too much of the head tube is obscured to be certain without some serious NCIS “enhance!” abilities, but it doesn’t seem to match any of the Huffy, Kent, or Royce Union badges of the time. TLDR: I have no idea, but had a blast trying to figure it out.
With all the people on this forum that shopped at toys stores, TRU, or just plain rode bikes in the 90s it was possible someone had a bike with the same brand. I really find no harm in asking here. It wasn't like I was asking for medical advice for my child. The bike lasted a long time and it was a nice bike, I was hoping to see if the company still existed. Omg, it does look like Rallye!
