First off, sorry, vague title is vague, and all that. Anyway, my sis-in-law just got back from Japan yesterday and picked me up Animated Blackout whilst there (sweeeet!) and for some reason, it came with a free Legends Animated Starscream. But, Starscream is done in a mix of light blue and clear blue plastic. Does anyone know the story behind this figure? Is it just some promotional figure in Japan or is it supposed to be a "ghost" Starscream?
If I'm not mistaken they were free at Japanese TRU when you spent a certain amount of money. There was a story about them on thefront page of this site a couple of days ago, just scroll thru the las few days of news and you should find them. That is if the toy you talk about is the one I'm thinking off, hopefully this helps.
Is it this one?: Translucent EZ Collection Exclusive Verisons of Animated Prowl, Bumblebee, and Starscream Announced - Transformers News If so, I think you probably got a steal. Not sure what they sell for exactly, Takara animated isnt really my thing.
http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/trans...ratomy-tfa-summer-ez-collection-campaign.html That was legitimately a pain in the ass to find, but there ya go! Nope, not that one. The timing is wrong, and the stipulation for that deal only covered a purchase of Prime or Megatron at Jusco.
Thanks for the info guys. It is indeed the Thundercracker from the offer Chosen linked to. Strangely, Blackout was under 3000 Yen (price tag was still on the box). Anyway, I thought it was a neat little figure. Not sure if I'll keep it though, or sell it down the road a bit.
