The 7/11's around here have been getting this KO mini Fortress Maximus lately:

    Mini-Max

I've been thinking about picking one up for a custom job and was wondering about the plastic quality. Is it likely to crumble to itty-bitty pieces when I'm working on it or is (relatively) decent?

Really, REALLY crappy. Mine wasn't broken, but kept falling apart since many pieces and body parts didn't fit correctly.

I'm happy with mine but I'll have to visit Reprolabels as the decals keep drying up and falling off. (BTW, I haven't tried to transform either small size)

The one I got was actually very sturdy. I would say they are ok just for kicks.

That wouldn't make a bad stand-in for Marvel Fort Max. It looks to be about the same height as the other Headmasters, which is how he was depicted in the comic mini-series.

these aren't crappy. get the one that's 20cm (7 inches) they friggin' ROCK. only negatives are no dish, head can't TF, and no guns. I got guns from an old KO that WAS crappy, but it had guns! hehehe he looks great with the wst ko combiners.
