i believe i know what the problem but i wanted to ask eveyrone here if they had the same problem just to be sure.

this morning, my wife got up abnormally early, and when i finally got up she said the wiimotes wern't working. so i looked at them. one only had one battery in it and the other wasn't registered, i thought, no big deal. so i registered the wiimote and turned on teh wii, but when i pointed it at teh screen nothing happened. i plugged in my classic controler and did what i had to check on the new update and all but i couldn't point at the screen. i'm thinking i need a new sensor bar. anyone else have this problem?

My first Wii had the GPU burn out. Was playing some game and all of a sudden...it's snowing on screen, or is it?

We're on our third Wii (all replaced through warranty). Our first one had the mysterious snow on the screen, the second decided to choke on a disc and die. Here's hoping number three lives a long and happy life.

My New Nintendo console occasionally lights up with this blue glow on its own. I think that's an STD.

If I try to play SSBB by putting the disk in to turn the console on, it is a surefire way to screw up my Wii and require a hard reset (manually unplug the power cord from the socket, or in my case the surge protector, then replug). For some reason, SSBB will only work for me if I actualyl navigate to the "insert game disk" screen and then put the disk in, where at that point it works just fine.

Outside of that, my wii is perfectly normal.

The only problem I've had with my wii was Mario Kart was really lagging even though I was'nt online. I think that was the disc though. Otherwise my wii has never malfuctioned.

My Wii refuses to run an update properly. Everytime I try it'll get to 10% or something, freeze and throw me out with an error message.

I wouldn't mind so much, but until I get an update I can't actually enter the shop to buy any virtual console games.

    Bah.
