Tempted to because of size inconsistencies. E.g. Galavtron being smaller than Megatron. Combiner characters that don't combine e.g. Onslaught and Silverbot.

I've been wanting to do it for some time now, but don't want to deal with the Junkion.

From there I'd just collect MPs and be done.

^ Pretty much this. I sold mine off, and don't miss it a bit. I didn't buy any Batman stuff though. I bought some G1's.

    This.

On the occasion I think I need to curb my collection and sell it all off, Classics is the only line I would never sell. Cybertron takes a close second.

With the revelation that MP-12 would be Sideswipe, the thought had crossed my mind that it might be feasible to sell off my Classics/Henkei collection and just keep to the MP line. But I quickly realized that Takara works far too slowly with their MP releases to even begin to completely replace my current collection as is. I really don't want to wait until I retire to have a fully complete cast of the '84-'85 G1 characters I know and love. For now, I'll just have to rely on a mix of Classics/Henkei/United/Generations/RTS and Masterpiece figures along with 3P offerings to get me through my G1 TF fix.

I've considered it from time to time. I have a lot of what I want when it comes to G1, and I've started to wonder recently whether I really need the updated guys as much.

Nah. It's taken me awhile to catch up with Classics, and I wouldn't want to sell all that work off.

I would love to sell my classics, but it wouldn't make me any happier.

This is exactly how I feel. I might sell most of my Classics and just keep a few. The only stuff I display are my Masterpieces anyways.
