I just learned of ToyBento from the OS KO Warbotron and am wondering if anyone here has any experience with them? Thanks in advance.

I believe a few TFW celebrities like TCracker use ToyBento. Ive heard nothing but praise for the website, service, prices and people.

However!

I ordered a Mightron off them at the beginning of the month but won't see it until late January. It is annoying but he is a one man band by the sounds of things and was on holiday in November or something. As someone based in New Zealand his prices are very attractive, but next time I will check first how long it would take for an item to ship before entering my credit card details.

Fortunately, I don't really need Mightron urgently but am bummed it will be too late for Christmas, and likely not even by birthday in January.

But finally, I must add that the owner, Ben Low, is a straight up cool dude. So there is no intention of harm.

Ben Low is a straight-up kinda guy. I can't attest to outward-facing overseas sales experiences/issues since I only deal locally with him, but I trust his integrity. Nobody's perfect, but he's responsible.

 

Have ordered from there twice now, both times the communications was great. Everything was packaged great and arrived fairly quick, quite good considering the cheap shipping rates.

Prices look ok but what about shipping costs? I dont see any on his listings- appears you have to get to your cart first...

 

As per the top of the screen, $10 per shipment, free shipping on orders over $150. Seems very reasonable and based on the comments here, I think I'm going to place an order. Thanks guys, well, unless it turns in to a nightmare, in which case screw you all.

He was on holiday in Japan. Anyway, he is a nice seller. Very amiable and helpful. He updated his site to now allow sales to Japan. I think he's based in Singapore, but has business contacts in (China?) to allow for sales of KOs, etc.

His site is mobile friendly and, depending on stock, might be able to get you some KO or other relating stock not listed at his site. Please use the email contact info at the site.

I've just ordered a fair bit from him yesterday. I think the free shipping only applies to the US though, as it didn't apply for me in Japan. However, he said that the 30 dollar shipping is the minimum (or something) but that will guarantee about 3 days to a week shipping times? Don't quote me on that though, as my memory isn't great with numbers.

 

Discovered Ben a little over a year ago. His popularity has grown since then tremendously and is well deserved. I've never found anyone who performs like he has. From finding stuff off taobao for me, and other chinese sites, to just filling out special requests or general items just off his site.. he does amazing work. All items have arrived in great condition. Orders complete, prompt, etc.. and the 10$ all over shipping is really great too. Other sites do ship internationally, sure.. but the shipping costs just kill it. Not here with Ben. Don't even hesitate.. order away and enjoy.
