Is the engine block upside down?

 

No. Oh, right...I still haven't seen one.

 

Yeah, it was put in upside down. It doesn't matter how you rotate it, it's still upside down. There are a couple of screws under the hood but it doesn't loosen anything up so I can take it out and put it in correctly.

Mainly just curious if it's this one or a wide spread issue.

 

Well damn. At least since the engine block is upside down as well you can tell if it's like that in package.

 

Hopefully someone will figure out a fix for those who didn't notice.

 

You should be able to take the chest apart and remove that piece to turn it back around.

Animated Rodimus variant found.

I was able to get a set of the new Animated deluxes, and I was anxious to open these bad boys up.

Needless to say, after having opened and transformed Rodimus, I made a discovery. One that is very blatant. Have a look -



That's right... His Autobot symbol is upside down.

Now I also took a pic of his engine, because it is in the correct position.



Do you know what this means?

It means you won't be able to spot this variant, as I assumed the engine was backward too, but that is not the case if you look at this old photo of the toy on display at a convention -

So yeah, I now need another set, and hope that when opening it, the symbol will be in the correct position.

cant you pop that piece out and flip it?

i bet this is a fluke, not a variant. shit like this happens more often that you think.

variant to me would be different plastic, color, mold change. like the arcee.

 

I see no spot to do that.

If it were a fluke, the engine wouldn't be in the correct position.

This isn't a case of a piece that got flipped, because then, the engine would be flipped.

 

This error was already posted last week.

 

Why not just slap a repro label on it? That should cover it up nicely

 

i'd say its a variant if only because this is a production error rather then anything else

 

Can you show me a link to it? In anycase, they didn't make it news, obviously, because it wasn't frontpaged for all to witness.
