I mean, almost all of the ones we've seen are dragons of some kind. The only exception we have is Corhada and he might as well be a wyrm.

Not saying that I don't like them being dragons, I just think they need some diversity.

I'd love to see a Turtle or a tortoise, just so he could be some weird Blastoise-Transformer figure.

 

I definitely want more variety with the Predacons, both in beast and robot modes (holy hell, can we get more than "upright dragon" please?). At the very least make more weird dragons like the tarasque; Twinstrike's got the right idea, though I'd like to see some un-reptilian beasts, too.

 

I didn't think we'd be getting 3 dragons. But as they are, I like them. More variety is never a bad thing however.

I'm loving all of the dragons. Maybe different species of dragons would be nice and not just a ton of western dragons. I'd love to see an Amphithere or a Wyvern. Just as long as they aren't some completely out-of-left-field animal thrown in the mix like a mammal. Maybe a bird would be acceptable but I'd prefer if they stick with the theme of "large fearsome non-dinosaur reptiles" I wouldn't even mind if it's based off some other real prehistoric reptile. Just as long as it's NOT over-used like Pteranodon or Dimetrodon. Gorgonopsid would be fun to see as well as a Terror Bird like Titanis.

 

Have you watched the show? I hated it initially...but it grew on me, and now it's my favorite Transformers series followed by G1.

 

I saw Lazerback at Toys R Us and noticed the new Predacon insignia.



Looks like Prime Predacons are meant to be a group of Drangon Transformers. Even their insignia looks like a Dragon. I kinda like the new Predacon insignia.

But now that I don't there will be any G1/BW/RID Predacon style beast modes in this line. But if the line runs good, maybe normal beast mode Predacons could show up in something like Generations.

 

In b4 they add animals and You Know Who calls it MADAGASCARFORMERS

 

Don't forget Terrorcons, Seacons, Ramhorn, Steeljaw, Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Sharkticons, Aligacons, Trypticon, and the Decepticon Headmasters.

G1 is full of animal Transformers. I always question weather people who hate Beast Wars and other shows with beastformers but love G1 apparently ignoring that G1 is also full of Beastformers. Transformers should be vehicles and not animals because the original were all vehicles is the most ignorant statement ever made by people who claim to be Transformers fans. I kinda doubt any of them have ever actually watched Transformers. Beast Wars was not the first appearance of Beastformers. Ravage and Lazerbeak, Soudwave's most iconic minions were Beastformers and always have been. They both make appearances in the original Transformer PILOT.

 

Not just that. Ravage in Marvel Transformers #1 was the first transformer to ever speak.

 

Regarding animal-Transformers, I would love a Transformer that turns into a pistol shrimp.

You see those pistol shrimps? They make bubbles that upon collapse get as hot as the freaking sun for the sole purpose of creating sonic pulses that wreck every midget fish's shit!  

 

This idea just randomly popped into my head a few seconds ago; what if one turned into a big snake?

To be fair, and I'm saying this as a Beast Wars fan, I think people's main beef with Beast Wars was the debut of more organic transformations and alt modes that culminated in the technorganic fusion in Beast Machines. G1 did have many Beastformers, but none with an actual organic beast alt mode like Cheetor or Rattrap.

As for the topic, I think for now a bunch of dragon Transformers is good enough. I do hope the Predacons are successful enough to allow Hasbro to introduce more Beastformers into their other lines. Hopefully we'll finally get more Beast Era tributes other than recolors.

 

I'd like to see some Fuzors.
