    I know I am.

It's getting ridiculous at this point. Every big 3rd Party bunch trying to sell us on their version of the same five robots, clogging the market with really expensive sets of the same figures. How many Predaking sets are there again. And even if you want it, they'll take months to be fully released.

Like, I cant even try to get interested in these things nowadays because I don't want to invest 3-to-500 dollars on one set of five deluxe to voyager sized toys. It all just feels really unsustainable.

God i'd kill for something new for a change. Something more than desperate attempts to cash in on the same over-hyped gestalts.

Like, maybe just some original bots with interesting altmodes? Or some of those laser-rod guys or something?

    ANYTHING to break the monotony.

Here's a radical idea: don't buy them. Monotony of buying things broken.

Divine! How dare you state for someone to have and use their common sense! That's mature and unbarbaric. We'll have none of that!!

    ;)  hehe

Nope! Because half the combiners I want either haven't been done at all (Piranacon, Abominus), or have been done but "not that well". (Superion)

Nope, I like seeing different renditions of the same combiners it's also great to see Modern combiners that Hasbro can't do due to production costs.

I think there are more non-combiner releases right now than the ones that do combine.
I get your point but I think you are focusing on something that is not a great big deal and just leting it get to you.

I like deluxe and voyager stuff. It seems to me everything is focused on MP scale right now and thats not good cause it dont scale next to 97% of my collection.

In the end I'm greatfull for all 3rd party stuff. It breaks my chains off hasbro.
If G.I. Joe had 3rd party backing I would not have crossed the fence over to TF. I'd still be collecting Joes exclusively. Even bad 3rd party stuff is still a great thing IMO.

I agree, but there are other 3rd party stuff then combiners.

We have headmasters, the core series, in a few months more dinobots then most can bare to see, minibots, trottlebots, optimus primes, comic max, metroplex, megatrons, seekers...

Not everything is as good and everything is very G1 ish, but there is more out there then combiners

    Now where is my piranacon!?!?

I am sorry, but as long as there are combiner teams left whom I wish to own that have not yet been committed to plastic in such a way as I wish... I'm not going to be tired of them^^

There are non-combiners coming out now, both official and third party, that I am purchasing as well that I would be more then willing to gleefully squee over with you that I feel ARE breaking up the 'combiner monotony'?

but I'm afraid that I am in no way, shape, or form tired of combiners, nor do I expect to be so at any point in the near future ^^

Nah, fuck that. 3rd party's bread and butter is to fill the gaps/underserviced collector's sector that Hasbro and Takara can't or won't attend to.

Original bots? Just some random company making toys that convert forms. They don't fit into Transformers lore and hence...don't need to be here. That's my opinion.

Mobb, if I may, I feel I must respectfully disagree here, or at least I feel that I must state my own opinion, though it is counter to your own. There are several openings for original toys and characters in the transformers lore (at least for me), especially given the many crowd shots filled with random BG TFs... For example, I ADORE my steelcore and have many toys whom I've kitbashed into original characters over the years.

I know that there are others who, like me, enjoy having original characters/toys and will happily purchase those of decent quality... however, I also know that there are those who feel no desire for original characters... and that's fine too^^ I'm glad there are options for the myriad of collection tastes out there. G1 style toys for the G1 fans, MP style toys for the MP collectors, classic and IDW styles... 'Hearts of Steel/Steampunk'... so much to choose from! ^^

    ...
Now, someone make me a voyager/ultra Lost Light Rodimus toy^^

I want ones we never got, but I want them to figure out how to make them look more like the show and more poseable

It's basically a modified God Mars, there are molds that are out there already they can use as stating points.

It's my hope we something like this when they start running out of combiners.

Show was cancelled and toy never came out because they were sued by Tonka because they said they were ripping off the Gobots.

I'd like to see Mastermind Creations go back to Hearts of Steel inspired stuff. leave the combiners to TFC or Maketoys.

I don't think he said anything about him buying them. He was stating that the major companies seem to be focusing on combiners ,how they are going about it and how he wishes it would ve different so he could by figures from them. Your comment came off very rude.

Cool. I want to clarify that I'm opposed to it (original characters) if it comes at the expense of the established ones, which the OP was wishing for.
