Now before I explain lemme just say that I'm not trying to be a dick, it's just something I noticed is all.

When we were still getting info on the game, everyone was all hyped and excited, when the game hit everyone was happy, satisfied and content. Now, over a month after it's release, I'm seeing more and more negativity. It's gone from "Thanks for the great game, High Moon!" to "Why the hell aren't you supporting this game?! You suck High Moon!".

Now, and this is like the umpteenth time I'm saying this, I'm one of the extremely lucky ones, it seems, who can pop in this game and play without issue or error. When I join a party I run into more porblems, but not a ton like others are stating. I also wish I could play this more if I didn't have to console-switch to access the internet atm. So I may be naive when I say that this seems to becoming another typical TF situation. Fans start out loving it and then nitpick it to the point where it's sub-par to lack luster at best.

Well you've been lucky then. I still get freezes from playing online and getting booted. Only game where this happens so I know it's not my PS3. Complaining about the online issues is justified I think. It's still a fun game but the online needs major work when it comes to connection s and freezes.

Yeah, I agree. My connection constantly times out, and My game freezes all the time when I'm online, and the lag is horrible at times.

Agreed. The "Host Time Out" thing is a bit ridiculous, and should be rectified. And there are other complaints that I understand that can be worked on. But for the most part, I love playing WFC. Most of the people here I've played with, I've had a blast doing so.

I will say, however, that I think that most people here do enjoy the game, complaints and all. If it wasn't the case, I'm sure this forum wouldn't be as active as it is.

This. Great game, but has more lags and connection probs than any other I've played.

I've only had the game freeze on me a few times and I've been kicked out of games plenty of times, but I still enjoy playing it alot. It's the only game I play for online multiplayer now, lol.

Count me as Lucky. I have yet too experience any errors that ruin the game. I have lag issues but that's about it.
I get booted once in a while but not very often.

I've been satisfied with the game. I'm beginning to think these "issues" may be over exaggerated .

Maybe I'm just showing my age, but I come from the paaaaast...long ago before online multiplayer was even a thought.

So to me, online matches are something that's really cool to be able to do once you have played the meat of the main game. I just have always felt it's something to give the game added value after the fact. I really like the idea of escalation and co op, that seems to take online gaming in a better direction than kill die spawn kill die spawn-repeat. So to see people focusing solely on the fact that they have connection issues at times when they play online seems like such a pity to me. It's always those few detractors who shout the loudest that bring the overall perception of a game down.

I can't believe there aren't more posts about the fact that we are actually playing a kick ass game based in the War on Cybertron with amazing graphics and control. Seriously. Just imagine that someone brought this version of this game to you at any point prior to the release of say...the current gen of consoles. Any point before the release of the 360....and you played this game.

You might very well die on the spot from all the awesome.

I swear to GOD....today's video gamers take things for granted more than any genre of hobbyist I have ever seen in my 35 years on the planet. They buy this amazing game, plow through it in a week...and are like...yeah, meh, whatever...and move right onto the next game and repeat...never stopping to appreciate what they have right in front of them.

Personally, I love the hell out of this game. I appreciate it and all it's awesomeness. It's a permanent addition to the collection. I'll play through the campaigns again years from now still, I'm sure.

I love the game, I really don't complain about it. The only things I don't like is... when it's double XP weekend (havent been on this weekend) but the past two, there was lag in basically every game, I had a few that didn't but that was if I was lucky.

When the host quits a match before it ends and stops the whole game.

That's the only problems I have with the game. I love everything else. Besides the questionable kills how I will shoot someone with my shotgun twice, do a melee attack and a shockwave and the person doesn't die, and in 2 hits im dead, lol.

There's some lag issues and/or the occasional dropout, but it doesn't happen to me often. Maybe like... once every play session.

From what I understand, connection issues aren't the fault of High Moon. These are peer to peer servers, which means if the person hosting the game has a crap connection, so too will you. Exit out and find a different game. No biggie.

And I love when people RAGEQUIT. You don't lose XP or anything any more, so who cares? Really, the connection "issues" are overblown. It takes no time at all to get into another match. At least for me, and I've played enough to be in the top 100 overall player kills leaderboard.

Then from what I understand, it was your own connection that was faulty.

I still love this game and have only set it aside because I unlocked Prime Mode and wanted a rest. For a while never got the sllightest lag and at worst it disconnected. Byt the last time I properly tried to play mulitplayer it wouldn't connect me to the server.

And this is comming form someone with an N+ router that never fails to get me online and offers a superb connection. The game is wack so accept the fact the it's them and ot us. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to go online in any game would I?

    Yes, but it's two things:

For one, the disapproving minority is always the loudest voice. People who have issues (with the game) feel they need to be heard because either: a) they feel it is a genuine concern that needs to be brought to other's attention to see if it's widespread or just the one case. b) they're upset because they like the game and feel it could be "so much better if X issue was fixed." or c) they don't like the game for whatever legitimate or illegitimate reasons and thus nobody else should.

For another, it's the simple die-down of hype. The game is out, it's no longer "new." While many people still like it, others have either moved on or simply enjoy it without feeling the need to say so. I mean, I don't need to come here and say I played a fun game of conquest last night because, well, that's supposed to happen.

It doesn't mean there's more people who hate the game than people who like it, but it is expected that there will be more "negativity" then praise. Combined with the fact that the people of "c" will take every instance and oppertunity they can to be vocal, and that's when you see the "trend."

I hear a lot of PS3 complaints... is it that bad on Xbox? I'm still debating getting the game but I'm not so sure after hearing all of this. In the demo the lag was occasional but not often so is it like that in the full game?

    I've got a PS3, and I got horrible lag/time outs for awhile.

Then I set my matchmaking from Global to Regional.

Now it never happens. Honestly, I don't see any of the problems that others have. And MAYBE the only network thing I think needs to be fixed is the host migration thing, but even pissed off hosts ragequitting hasn't happened in awhile.
