I have a love-hate relationship with snow and snow along with ice are important and fun, but they also cause problems. I’m enjoying a snowless Winter. I rather deal with the cold over the heat.
Winter is just not winter if it doesn't snow. Just like @rattrap007 , I love the cold. The only negative is that since my pelvic bone was broken, the cold makes it hurt a lot. Summer is too much. I step outside and my reaction is: I'M MELTING! I'M MELTING! WHAT A WORLD!
Over here at Chicago, yeah. The wheater has been pretty decent, with the best I seen Wednesday it was in the 50s.
It’s Winter yet it doesn’t feel like winter... I need the cold in order for things to feel right! It’s averaging 40 degrees in December for right now. About two years ago I believe, it was 70 degrees in February, 70! Global warming at its finest...
Yep. THRILLED about it. No hurting myself while shoveling, no difficult roads to navigate, no leaving for work 20 minutes early to scrape the windows... it's fantastic.
I enjoy not having to shovel so much (snow's no fun as a working adult), but it does make me a bit anxious given what it implies climate-wise. All these songs and TV specials about Christmas Snow get more and more depressing each year....
I don't like the snow since it makes my job so much harder, but I prefer the cold over the heat. It's like how my saying goes. "In winter, you can keep layering up. In Summer, you can only layer down so much before you get arrested".
Our neighbors know of my dad and I physical condition so they offer to shovel the snow of our driveway if the snow is deep enough.
Over here in my swamp, there has been a decent amount of snow in recent years. Sometimes record breaking. Great weather for building Snogres.
I live in California, so it is indeed wretchedly snowless, here. If you like that sort of thing, trade places with me. I can’t stand the non-stop warmth. I was born on and raised for my first couple years in one of the coldest and snowiest places on the continent. It’s been 19 years since we left the Sierra Nevada mountains, but I haven’t acclimated at all to the heat. Give me my pleasantly frigid weather, please.
No snow here and I'm fine with that. If I want to see snow, I can pull up a Youtube livestream from somewhere that has snow.
Just a light dusting or two that melted by noon. While I loathe ice, snow isn't as bad in moderation. It sucks when you have street parking and the borough plow drivers give not a single damn about whether they plow in your car, it's still able to be worked around. What we do need is a period of deep freeze every so often. It keeps the bugs in check come springtime. I'm thinking that we're going to see significant snowfall late January to early February. The seasons have been shifting for years, so expecting snow in November/December just isn't a thing anymore.
