I was just thinking, what with the recent release of BH wave 1, how come we haven't seen ANY of wave 2, and not heard a single thing about them? I'm not worried that we're not getting a wave 2, but the only thing we've seen that isn't out yet is the voyagers and big Predaking. What are your thoughts on this?

 

Maybe their just waiting for the show to air to see which character kids will actually buy from the show? And I mean...They're just giving a taste of whats to come from Beats Hunter what fun is it if they show everything that got behind doors?

 

Why wouldn't we get a wave 2?

I like that we have no idea what's coming next. Usually we're spoiled with info. Mystery is fun.

 

I agree with the above. It sort of ruins the surprise of seeing a character introduced into the show if you've already seen a figure for it.

 

Could do what Beast Wars did and have scores of figures on the toy side again. Then that would gives us so many options on who could show up in the series.

 

No... I think the days of non-core character figure bombardment are behind us. All those "new" molds would cost money Hasbro doesn't want to spend anymore.

 

Too much info beforehand just gives the fandom time to pre-hate the figures for months on end based only on badly photoshopped previews. Most people who have found early BH releases have admitted that they enjoy the toys quite a bit despite the ridiculous bile they got from the fandom since their reveal.

A little mystery is cool once in a while.

 

Toy fair 2013 is two months away atleast.

 

If you believe the rumors, Beast Hunters was bought forward.

On top of that, the first wave is very heavy on retools....

Maybe Hasbro are just plain short on time here?

 

At the rate/level this is going, do we want to see more?

Considering how much was revealed I'm not all that bothered. It's pretty much enough that Hasbro has enough time til Toyfair 2013 to make another reveal. Don't forget after Christmas is a slow down period since most families already dropped a lot of money during the Holiday season.

 

I would have preferred less remolds of existing figures and more Predacons.

 

Dunno, i think the bots will be the only ones getting EXTREEM upgrades.

Doesn't mean the vehicons won't get upgraded in some way, just not in the way you would think.

 

Maybe Beast Hunters is a 2 month One wave line like Reveal The Shield.

They both were released around the same time of the year. Maybe Beast Hunters is a mini series part of Season 3 kind of like Darnkess Rising that happens before Optimus is revived beginning the "TRUE SEASON 3"

 

It could be that Hasbro just didn't feel the rush to reveal lots of figures before Toy Fair. Toy Fair would give them the two birds with one stone of revealing product to the retailers they need to stock the figures and fans would get to see pictures of the figures in the Toy Fair coverage.

I've also noticed that if there isn't a movie tied to the figures then Hasbro just doesn't push that product as hard. They kind of get stars in their eyes so we might not see any huge Transformers push out of Hasbro until the next movie toy push.

 

I assume it's because only Preadaking will be in the show.

 

I just figure what's out right now is a preview wave. We'll be bombarded with the real stuff at Toy Fair.

 

The first thing beast hunters reminds me of is Masters of the Universe vs. the snake men. Except with Transformers. All the heroes from the previous two seasons get upgraded weapons and armor to hunt the snakes. And the snakes all have their own special abilites that ties into their design. Optimus Prime still even has the sword.

But there is a certain freshness to the monster hunter style being forced into Prime that I find enjoyable.

The reason we have not seen a lot of beasts is probably just because their trying to leave room for upgraded decepticons and Autobots.

Which means if predaking is going to have a decent combat unit with all the guys revealed via KREO beast hunters like Ripclaw its going to take a few waves.

 

But do we want to see less?
