I found Generations Warpath yesterday, and now I've got every single figure I've been looking for until there's some sightings of DOTM Wave 6 or HA Soundwave, and after that, I'll be back in the same rut. I love my figures and enjoy messing around with them, but it's just so.... weird, going to the store and not even caring what's in the toy section. I've got all the Star Wars figures I've been looking for, and have already seen all the Lego sets for the summer/fall, so I can buy them at my leisure (no hunting for them).

Anyone else feel the same way?

 

It is kinda strange, but it frees up $$$ to buy other things. I just got Masterpiece Rodimus yesterday, and until TFP launches, I ain't got shit to buy. Maybe now I can catch up on my gaming. >.>

Not really. There will always be something that you didn't get that wasn't at retail MPs, 3rd party, imports etc. It gives you a chance to catch up on those or gives you time to breathe, your wallet some recovery and make room in your collection for the stuff you already bought.

A "time out" is time well spent for a collector, you can get kinda burnt out otherwise. Makes that next haul that much better. 

 

Um, yeah. I still go in vain. There's still optimism as I trot to the toys.

yeah it feels realy weird to, the last time i felt like that when i got everything i wanted (at the time) was about a year ago.

when i picked up na MU Thor
MP Skywarp (15$ clearance)
and a Trade paperback Comic book at Hastings.

Thats all i wanted to get for the next few months and it just felt weird and didn't leave me with much else to do when i went to the store.

 

I'll tell you guys how to fix that. Get married and have a kid or two. Then you'll be to financially strapped to complete anything. Trust me. I know.

 

Since I've yet to actually get caught up on all the toys that I want, I have no problems getting stuck in a rut where I have to wait for who knows how long til the next wave of toys that I want are released.

 

I know what you mean. HA Leadfoot is the only TF I'm currently looking for. I hardly even look behind figures anymore because I know all I'll find is the same DOTM deluxes from every other store.

 

I used to, but now I collect other things that I can't seem to catch up on.

 

All I feel when I get caught up is relief!

When there's nothing left, I save my money to buy the things I missed out on since before I was a collector, or for the things coming up. Or for real life things, not just Transformers.

 

Eh, I never finish any lines. There are always wants that I pass up, and I'm really glad for that. There's almost always something I don't have when I walk into a store. But honestly, I prefer not to buy so many toys, and just leaving it to the stuff I really want.

 

I'm still waiting for Dotm deluxe wave 4,Ha Tailpipe and Voyager Skyhammer  

 

Right after I got Sentinel, than Roadbuster came along.......

 

This is crazy. If anything, I'd feel at peace.

I'll never get everything. There'll always be that figure that eludes me... Not that I mind all that much anymore since it helps save me some cash.

Just sit back, relax, and breath. Such a good feeling to be on top of things, in any aspect of ones life.  

 

Yep... Minus the kids even, for me. But a wife and property, cars, bills, a house to build etc has definitely put me in the same boat.
