There are pics of the Darkstalkers here as well: http://www.fwooshnet.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=42079 The album links at the top of the post require you to log in, but they have more photos. I'm excited about everything shown from SOTA so far except Morrigan, who's older prototype looked infinitely better. But I don't want to focus on the negative. That Alex looks awesome. And the Revolutions Round 2 lineup is said to be Alex, Guy, Dee Jay and Chun Li in her SF Alpha costume.
The think entire sculpt is actually different. Here's the old one for reference: http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y138/GekiV/DSC06703.jpg No longer has double jointed knees, bigger hip ball joints and different shoulders for sure.
Chest hair shown in this gallery: http://i.toynewsi.com/g/index.php?mode=album&album=07_SDCC/Sota/Street_Fighter&dispsize=800&start=0
That is not nearly enough chest hair. As you can see here, Zangief's chest hair is in the shape of a diamond, and it goes down to his belly button.
I get what you mean but at this stage (and given how long its been), I'm gratefully that we can complete the original SF2 cast...
The SDCC Dan figures have shipped now. I received the CSC turquoise one last week and got a shipping notification for the Wizard exclusive pink one today. Here are some pictures of the turquoise version. http://www.fwooshnet.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=980969#980969
Guys I need some help, are these bootlegs? http://cgi.ebay.com/Sota-Street-Fig...yZ106926QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I'm a newbie to Sota Toys, so I bid on one without knowing. Should I report this?
That's a bootleg, but I doubt reporting it would do any good. There was an evil Ryu in Japanese packaging but it was limited to 1000 and has a kotobukiya sticker on the front and is packaged with the regular head on the figure on the smiling head attached to the back in a plastic bag.
Shit, well before he sends it I will try to get my money back. Edit: Should have done some research, he was listed on Fwoosh as a seller of bootlegs.
Why? The quality is the exact same, and you'll never find a legit Evil Ryu without paying out the nose. So, who got their Wizard-exclusive Dans? Show of hands!
Exactly, I just started collecting the SOTA Street Fighter figures myself (all the ones I currently have are originals), however, the quality of the KOs are exactly the same (a friend has a KO Ryu and Bison) and getting a none KO Evil Ryu will cost you an arm and a leg. It's not like he's starting the bidding at insane prices either. Myself, not interested in ol' Danny boy, but I'm currently trying to hunt down a Goken...
I will probably just keep it, it was my fault for not investigating. And it was only 9 dollars shipped. On the plus side, I bought the Preview Ken today. So at least I have a chance to support SOTA. I hope that everyone else does so that we can get more Street Fighter 3 figures after Alex.
Here's an Evil Ryu for $15 buy it now, which as far as I'm aware isn't a bootleg. The evil Ryu was never particularly expensive, just not $0.99 cheap.
I believe I own the knockoff Ryu and Sagat also. Bought them for pretty decent prices off of a seller on Ebay. They look very good quality as well as feel hefty. I will get pink Dan.
If you're asking me, only Sagat had the sticker over barcode. My Bison had the sticker too. Not Ryu though. But they all seemed legit enough to keep. Didn't look cheap quality like the Jazwares line. But when you say sticker, it's a upc barcode sticker over another upc barcode right? Cause that's what mine looks like.
