I loved this show when I was younger, so I'm psyched to be watching a new one. I looked at nbc's website, and the people look really cheezy. but we'll see. might be good fun.
My mom wants to, so I guess I'll watch a little since I'm right next to the T.V. anyway. Looks okay, but nothing spectacular. (I really liked the old one, so my hopes are high)
I was excited to see it was coming back until I saw he would be the host. Now it's going to be stupid and corny like it was before, which was it's main weakness IMO.

I loved the show as a kid and honestly, it's still awesome. I'm disappointed there was no giant hamster balls this time but they had power ball. The Pyramid sucks but the other events have been pretty cool. The female Gladiators remind me of WWF Divas. They just don't seem as potent as the older ones. The guys also don't really look like gladiators. They look like rejected WWF wrestlers. The only one I think is an "actual" Gladiator is Titan. Just a big guy like the old crew. I'll have to check NBC for bios on them all. But overall, very awesome start and if you liked the old one, you'll enjoy this. To bad I'm so small, I'd love to compete one day. And yes, the skater is getting his ass handed to him by the firefighter. But the Eliminator with the women was awesome. EDIT: Wow, this Jeff guy is a prick. he jumped the gun and was swinging away at the Gladiators. Looks like he's going to be in for a world of hurt the rest of the show.
yeah, I don't like him either. but I've got to admit, the show's a lot better than I expected. I thought it was gonna seem scripted, but with someone getting hurt and dq'ed in the very first competition, I guess not!
Hah, proof I've watched the original too many times, Mayhem stepped over the other Joust platform both times and between that and the braided hair I thought "Hey, he's related to Blaze!"
Jeff is a prick. I agree... Mayhem looks like a Predator with those dreadlocks.. Too bad he sucks at joust and DQed twice.. YES!! Assault is next. My favorite event.
