So the toys of Stratosphere & Breakaway & Springer are out. But nothing's been said 'bout them in the movie.

    Discuss.

Good! Hopefully they've managed to keep a lot of things secret still. Knowing all the robots that are going to be in the movie would be lame.

I think all three are awesome. That would be awesome if that transport plane that transported prime is Stratosphere. Shows up to save the day against Devy.

air support is great, but keep Stratosphere for TF3, we have Devastator in the movie, Jefire should take him down.

Just because they have a toy doesn't mean they will be in the movie. Hasbro loves to pad out movie lines with extra figures.

But even if Stratosphere, Breakaway and Springer aren't part of the movie that wouldn't mean that they aren't part of the wider movie universe. Think of it like a World War II movie where you don't get to see everyone that fought in the war. They had to put a limit on the number of robots somewhere or else we would have ended up with a mess like the second Mortal Kombat movie.

So the title of the thread is nothing more than a mere possibility? I'll wait till I know for sure before forming an opinion. How do you feel about Shia LeBoueff revealing himself to be a Pretender version of Rodimus Prime?

anyone else thinks stratosphere is the ugliest autobot to date.

That alone makes me hope he is not in the movie.

I think Stratosphere would be too big an Autobot leverage. Then there would be no need for Prime & Jetfire to combine.

Breakaway would imo be more likely to appear in the movie. If he does,
I do hope though his altmode will actually look like a F35, unlike the toy which doesn't have the F35 license.

Based off recent game render ; Breakaway really looks cool & unique.

From what i've seen and heard, there's a
number of unnamed bots in the movie.
I guess we'll wait and see who truely shows up.

All the scouts aren't in the movie, either, just like Landmine, Stockade, and Wreckage, who got toys but weren't implemented into the movie itself. They're like an expansion of the movie universe but only to cash in on how popular the whole asthetic of the movie TF's is in the general public audience.

This. In the first movie run, a number of the redecos of figures that weren't in the actual movie did make it into cannon movie media elsewhere, like the FAB Jazz repaint as Smokescreen appearing in the Reign of Starscream comic run, and the Landmine drones in one of the ROTF prequel stories.

Compared to Skids/Herp and Mudflap/Derp? I still think Mudflap is the ugliest of them all, as at least Stratosphere has a face!

In general, I don't really like it when the Autobots are treated as a ground-vehicle-only force. Flying Autobots being in small number in comparison to Decepticons is alright, of course, but treating Autobot flyers like they're the fevered dream of madmen kind of ticks me off. 'bots like Powerglide and, well, every Aerialbot were there for G1, and weren't exactly obscure weirdos.

But with the super-limited Autobot cast of the live action movies, it's pretty understandable for Autobots not to get any on-screen flyers. (Except Jetfire, and maybe unconfirmed guys.) My feelings aren't hurt.

Also, boats. There needs to be like ten times as many boat-formers.

But then explain why Springer has both a Movie Legends and a Robot Heroes toy. Both of those classes are known to be on-screen movie characters (at least with the first one that was the case.) I really think that he is in it and Bay & his crew have done a really good job of hiding it.

And to all of you that will counter this with: "Well he isn't in the book...." Jolt wasn't in it either. And he is confirmed in the movie. Springer may have been a late decision too. Maybe he just shows up at the end for 30 seconds of screen time who cares! As long as he is in.

And yes... I hate Stratosphere's face so much :mad

Scalpel is a scout..... *cough* explanation fail *cough cough*

Stratosphere has the ugliest face of the normally faced robots. And Skids's face is uglier. Going by toys too.

wished that aircraft carrier was Broadside... now he'd be great to have as an Autobot. Not only a triple changer but also the size of Devastator.
