Simple. Who here has a mediocre TF that you simple dont like but also you dont wanna let go of it. You dont like it but you want it to stay in your collection.

My example is ROTF Smokescreen. The mold is somewhat decent, the figure is outdated and has some poor joints and the colors are bland and boring but I dont wanna throw, sell, or give it away for some reason. I dont know why.

 

i feel the same about my Cybertron Longrack. its an outdated Armada mold, its blocky and the transformation is simple, the gimmick takes over the whole toy, yet i cant seem to part with it

 

Battle in Space Rodimus. It's the only version of that mold that I own, so if I want a Rodimus on my Classics display I'm stuck with it.

 

Universe Ironhide and Ratchet by far.

If i could customize i'd get two more Energon Towlines and have a real Classics Ratchet and Ironhide.

 

Energon Cruellock. I never liked the toy; almost no real transformation at all and to this day he's the only Energon Decepticons I own.

I can't give him up because he's somehow also a unique oddity in my collection in that I don't know how the hell I got him. I can remember how I got every other figure in my collection EXCEPT him. That and I don't want to reduce my overall Decepticon count either, I've got so many more bots than cons and I usually strive to keep some kind of balance, but that's been hard lately when the more recent lines have been something like 3:1 Autobots to Decepticons.

 

tons of 'em, but I'm getting better.

 

Universe Galvatron. I sucks, but at least it's a Galvatron.

 

not really that i want to get rid of, but that might change since energon optimus found his way into the collection

 

Rotf Mixmaster. I don't hate him,I REALLY like him,actually. But I cannot transform him so he's stuck in bot mode but I would NEVER give him away. Btw,any TF that I don't like or is missing important pieces,can just be cannon fodder that isn't going to be displayed on my "shelf"(don't actually have a shelfcase yet,hoping I get one soon,so I just use desks for now)

 

Classics Prowl, Henkei Prowl, Universe Smokescreen, Henkei Smokescreen and Universe Silverstreak. When I got these, I loved them. However, they have dated really badly. I can't stand the sight and feel of them. Yet, I can't bring myself to get rid of them.

 

agreed, the proportions and transformations are horrible on them, but they're the only classics versions of the characters, lol

 

Henkei Dark Skyfire. I've been pretty outspoken about how that mold is overhyped, poor even by 2006 Classics standards, and that you couldn't pay me to take any more Jetfires...I still can't get rid of mine. The deco really won me over despite how much I hate the mold.

 

Probably one of the many repaints I have of Leo Prime.

 

I actually kinda like Silverstreak despite hating Prowl. Something about Silverstreak's colors and that mold clicks better for me.

 

Most of the original Classics line, mostly because I fear they won't even get a new figure. I mean, Hasbro's never even rereleased the Classics Prime as Optimus. I doubt he'll ever get a new figure.

Yeah, this. Looking around my collection, I have a bunch of figures, and even entire lines, that I feel are mediocre...but I just can't bring myself to sell them. Lately, I've been getting much better at not buying figures unless I'm sure I really want them and avoid repaints/remolds.

 

Universe 1.0 Sunstorm...

I just can't get rid of it...

 

ROTF Dune Runner. He's not bad by any means, but he's just kinda...meh, IMO. But I don't want to part with it...
