Seriously, with Season 2 already out in the US, I feel the UK is getting the short straw for no word on any sort of release for Season 1! So, anyone hear any rumours on the grape vine about a UK release? If not, I'll have to check if my Blu-ray's Multi-regional lol
here...Transformers Prime Complete Series DVD Box Set | eBay & it's region free! coz i've just bought one no word on a region free season 2 yet though!
Yeah, I'm hoping for a UK Blu-ray release. The Australian Season 1 Blu-ray is Region B, like we are, but the going rate for it on ebay is £60 incl. P&P, which is pretty pricey...
I just bought my season 1 dvd from amazon.com, and I have season 2 on the way. my dvd player is region free.
Huh. I'd prefer a Blu-ray, but Beggers can't be choosers hey? And I'm surprised this thread has returned from the dead! lol Anyway, cheers for letting me know about that!
You can still import the german Season 1 set (Region B, both us-seasons are sadly Region A). Unfortunately the season set comes only with a english 2.0 stereo track and just two simple extras.
FYI, I believe that is a bootleg - has all the hallmarks of a Hong Kong bootleg DVD set. I'd recommend going with the German set Zak mentions above - it's got the episodes in English which is the important thing.
So just to check (my simple brain is getting confused already!)... there is no blu-ray version that will run in the UK? I have a PS3 as my only blu-ray player if that makes the blindest bit of difference.
As far as I can tell, yes, there isn't a Season 1 Blu-ray yet It does seem a bit odd that Germany has had a release before the UK. That is of course if it's ever released over here! -_-
The Australian and German Blu-ray Season 1 sets will both play on UK Blu-ray players, including PS3s. The Australian one's probably the better bet in terms of having English-language content (I assume the German extras are translated?), but the 'pre-orders' on ebay (I think it's released next month) are all pretty pricey...
ty for the heads up, but as i previously said, i've already bought it + won't know if your right til i recieve it.
That's the information I was after, cheers dude Ok, will wait to see how things pan out. I'm not so desperate for it that I'm willing to pay crazy prices but maybe once the official release happens it might drop a bit. Then again, Australian TF stuff has a habit of being very expensive indeed... (would prefer the English language content if possible)
the german bd-set doesn't have any translated extra content. However, the main menu and the episode titles are in german.
well....my TF Prime DVD has been dispatched! so, it should arrive soon....although how something that's coming from Manchester to Scotland 1st Class(which is strange in itself, as the item postage description says Standard Delivery) can have the estimated delivery time of 2 weeks is beyond me.
You could order the Blu-ray Collection of Season 1 from Madman (AU/NZ).....That's region B. It's not officially available til december but the Retailer JB HiFi has/had it as an exclusive, That's how I got it. Right Here: http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/dvd/dvd-genres/animation/transformers-prime-season-1-blu-ray/666971.
fkin season 1 dvd of TF Prime hasn't turned up! & the eta on it was today, it's prob been delayed by the christmas post....no doubt, + i've messaged the seller to say that it hasn't arrived, but at the time of writing this....still no reply. update....hurrah! my DVD has arrived, although like Sol Fury stipulated...i think it's a Bootleg DVD! albeit a very well put together one. at the end of the day....at least i've got season 1(in some form or other) rather than having to wait a lifetime for the official UK retail release in the shops. + i doubt that the official release would come with much in the way of extras! because Darkness Rising never came with any.
Hasbro UK have confirmed, via Facebook, that following on from the release of Transformers Prime Volume 2 (Episodes 6-10 of season 1) the rest of the season will be released in June (Decepticons Unleashed) and October (Unlikely Alliancea) with a complete season 1 boxset also being released then. Sadly they have also confirmed that there will be no UK release of Transformers Prime on Blu-Ray meaning that if you wish to enjoy an HD viewing of the series that you will need to import either the US version (with a region free Blu-Ray player) of the Australian Madman release which is the same region as the UK.
