Nimoy did a great job as Galvatron in the original movie, and I'd love to see him return and voice the Fallen with the same voice, no modulation.

Um...no. Voice work is done FIRST and animation is done second. Only in Japan do they do it the other way around. They are doing what is called ADR. They are RErecording the voices. They do this all the time, both in animation AND live action. It is so they can have better control of the audio levels and the director (in terms of animation) can control the final acting.

Someone said it exactly right. Mark Ryan voiced the transformers on the set. They did initial animations based on that. Then they bring in the voice actors who rerecord the dialouge. They will try to match what is on screen. From there, the animation can be retweaked as needed.

so which is which? voice, then animation, or animation, then voice? i think it was what the guy on the second page said-Mark Ryan does the voices fo on set, then they animate to that, then get the people to voice them for the movie. a little like what Japan does-maybe someone should add it to the questions to ask Hasbro at the next Q&A

I took Computer/Traditional animation at college. You storyboard the actions, then the voice actor records the line, using the storyboard as a visual aid. The animators then animate the final version to the recorded lines. Sometimes they redub a line after for a better inflection.

Dubbing anime, they don't have much choice. It's finished. All they can do is TRY to sync the words to the lip movements that are already there.

The Fallen's mouth reminds me of Megatron's. Tiny jagged little shark teeth.

ya, but that's what they do normally-is that what they do with Transformers as well, like is that known as a fact, or could it be the other way?
