So, going by the recent posters and what not, the designers at High Moon Studios seem to have changed at least Optimus' design for Fall of Cybertron. So my question, do you think any other characters will have some design changes in the next game?
They might've made some tweaks, but it's probably just featured repeat characters. I'm wary of a redesigned Bumblebee, the original got so much right that it would be hard to improve on (and easier to mess up). We've seen a damaged Bumblebee, which probably confirms the re-use of the original design, but which might be an excuse for a reformat. I'm also hoping we get a more expanded toyline this time around, and I don't want do-overs getting in the way. Word is Jazz's design is re-used, which suits me fine, because, again, I think it'd be hard to improve upon. Looks like characters like Grimlock that featured exclusively in the DS version of the game will get new designs, which I can understand High Moon wanting to do their own thing with, as much the originals were great and would've worked.
There is Screamer in the background of one of the concepts but he looks the same to me. Also Megatron has been revealed to be changed. Shockewave has had minor modifications as well. Check out that news story on the front page. But over all I don't expect massive changes.
