I haven't seen or heard anything since...Blaster? Just don't want to miss anything, as I haven't been keeping up with the latest.

    Thanks.

The TR Headmaster re-issues are what came after Blaster. So no.

I dont think so, the last few havent sold well since im 90% people just waited for them to go clearance i know i did. I dont think hasbro will have any more plans for g1 reissues if the headmasters and beast wars reissues succeed

Blaster was clearance priced from the start. My local store had a lot and they all sold. Of course that was Christmas so that is the most likely time to see.

I wish that they were available in Europe, more precisely in The Netherlands. If I want any now, I have to either import them myself or pay scammer prices, both not a real option. :(

Is this line dead now? Haven't heard of anything since Blaster & Astrotrain.

Probably. Hasbro moved on to Beast Wars. A lot of the reissues ended up in clearance.

I’d like to know what G1 molds are still viable, honestly. And, I really can’t think of many that I would even like to have at this point. A G1 Jetfire reissue would be awesome…probably never happen, though…

The thing I like about the G1 reissues is they were they toys I wished I had, but could never afford. $9.99 for a deluxe in the 90's was a very different thing for Beast Wars than it was in the 80's for G1. I lament that the line ended as soon as it did. And am very envious how Beast Wars often gets multiple releases at the same time while G1 reissues only got case after case after case of a single figure, that shelf warmed as a result.

I thought the other ‘84 seekers were talked about at one point? Or there was a vote for them?

It seems like that was the case…Skywarp was on the table (along with others, I think) but they got beat out by Blaster. I’d like a Skywarp. I got the Starscream reissue and I have an O.G. Thundercracker, so Skywarp is the only one of the three originals I am missing.

I think it's safe to imagine that BW reissues have supplanted it for now. I wouldn't be shocked if we get some '84 reissues for the 40th though.

G1 reissues are in a tricky spot where anything they can feasibly reissue has been reissued to a decent quantity over the last 20 years and everything they haven't reissued is either too obscure (in their eyes) or would require substantial new-mold creation that would make it unprofitable in their eyes.

I can't imagine that future releases are completely off the table, its just that they are really focused on Beast Wars right now.

Speaking of which, there's still a wall of $10 Rattraps in the clearance aisle at my local Walmart. I fear this may be why that store hasnt stocked any of the waves after that initial run clogged the shelves.

I think if they did combiners, like Devastator, then they wouldn't shelf warm and fly off the shelves. I only saw Devastators on our shelves the first day, and then they were gone. Blaster Cassettes would also disappear fast.

I think the key here is to release something they haven't yet before ;)

I agree 100%. But my main problem with most of the reissues is the price…$50 for a Prime cab only? Just seems very overpriced.

    wasn’t devastator pushing $100? Astrotrain was $40?

Devastator was $75. Walmart distribution may skew sales data. While some saw few Devastators, some saw many reach clearance. That was my experience with the tapes. Saw them once at full price, but tons were clearanced in other states.

I wouldn't bet on any new reissues until maybe 2024 / 40th Anniversary.

I wonder how difficult it would be for Hasbro to redo the molds for the G1 figures.

Reverse engineering those old G1 molds is very expensive from what I've read. I believe the G1 Soundwave mold had to be reverse engineered for the more recent reissues. Hasbro probably doesnt consider it cost effective for the majority of those old toys.
