Specifically on Inferno, Grapple, and the other Seekers (Dirge, Ramjet). I want to add these to my collection but can't justify the current sky high prices. Other Japanese Masterpiece releases hover around the $70-$80 range, is there any chance for a wider release (and therefore a price drop) for the ones I mentioned?

    Thank you.

I've never heard of a MP lowering in value. Closest thing I can think of is how MP Bumblebee was on BOGO 40% off at some toys R us stores.

Inferno and Grapple isn't impossible: if enough were made and demand is larger than the production run, then in time they will likely drop in price. Although you're unlikely to ever find it cheaper than the discounted pre-order prices at Japanese stores like Nippon-Yassan and Anime Export. But since these are bigger than the regular cars and come with more parts, they demand a higher price.

The Dollar-Yen exchange rate also plays it's part. This was more favourable during the start of the reboot, but in the past year has become less favourable, meaning the prices are higher in dollars than before.

The MP Coneheads are made by order of Hasbro Asia (and only sold in Japan through TT Mall) which makes them more expensive, since the Hasbro Asia prices are higher than the regular Japanese prices. So, no. The chances of finding those cheaper is very small. They likely will only get more expensive. That is, unless TT releases a completely new and better version of the seeker mould and then produces all the seekers anew in this new mould.

What. The dollar is back to 117 yen. It's just Americans are cheaper now.
