Ok. before anyone comes in here talking about shapeways... i do not want to pay 20$ for a tiny piece of plastic with pores.

so... my question: are there any 3d modelers out here who would be willing to make a G1 pyro head for POTP inferno body for $$$ OR for a print for me to send you? I have a high quality resin liquid printer that makes x100 higher quality than normal extruder type printers. so why would i pay money for shapeways when i have a superior machine at home? the only problem is im not a 3d modeler and i suck at it! id be willing to pay money for a custom 3d file.

I was planing to make an IDW Pyro eventually and have already started an Optimus head so making G1 Pyro shouldn't be that hard.
Just to be sure, this is what you are looking for, right?: pyro.jpg

I don't have any POTP toys so you will have to specify the head dimensions and size of the connection (assuming you are happy with the model that is). You will probably have to tweak the final size but if you have a printer I'm sure you are capable of this (Worst case I just send a tweaked file until it fit).

Well I was really just planing to make Pyro because I would have use for it eventually. Now I happen to have a G1 Deluge and it's a pretty simple head (both visor and face mask) so I ended up making one anyway.

It's not 100% finished but I wanted to ask if it was the way you wanted, seeing as the head you made doesn't exactly match Pyro. It may be your skill level or work flow but it could also be how we see things. It's fascinating how people can look at the same object but see different things (we all want masterpieces to look like they do in our minds but that differs a lot among people)

So, in short, if you are happy with the head so far I can complete it and send to you. (what file format is best? .stl?) If you want anything adjusted it's easier to do that early.
Should I even bother making a peg hole? You seem to be capable of modeling that kind of thing yourself and it's easier for you to get the size and placement right.

Yes, I too thought the boxart looked beter then the toy so no problem.
As I said, I have no POTP toys but it looked about the size of generations Jazz wich have a 4mm balljoint. I can scale it to that but have no idea if it's the same balljoint size.

I found a shapeways store that said POTP Jazz have 4 mm balljoint so that's what I will go for. I'm busy today but you should have the .stl file before the weekend.
