I was just wondering if anyone else here collected 1:18 or around that size diecast? Here are some of mine. Sorry I think I got 2 of the same cars in there 2 times. I have about 16 Ferrari 1:18, then a bunch of other random 1:18. Most are Hypercars but there are a few movie cars in there as well. click pics
I've got a bunch, but they're all boxed up and in storage. I've got an emphasis on '60s and '70s classics/muscle cars with a few Porsches, Ferraris, BTTF Time Machines...and that '89 movie Batmobile...thrown in for good measure. I've got a 1:18 Concept Camaro in Bumblebee colors, and there's a Concept Challenger at Target begging me to buy it. If I had the room, it be cool to pair up classic and modern, display the '69 Camaro next to the Concept, '66 Mustang with the '05+, etc. One of these days...
Only 1:18? My granddad has a lot of Franklin/Danbury Mint 1:24 scale cars...but I guess those don't count.
I have a ton of UT's 1/18 McLaren F1s, almost all damaged thanks to the wife. I have the 1/12 UT McLaren, a few F1 and Indy cars, some Exotics and a TON of Diecast Camaros
Are any of the UT's McLarens in good enough shape to make a good one out of parts? Here are 2 I put some decals on... The blue is an Elite, the black is a base version but I put a Tremonia propoganda transkit on it (all the metal parts you see on it and theres a lot not showing in that pic)
I got a bunch of them, mostly the American Muscle series, with some others mixed in. No pics now, maybe later on
I used to have a massive 100+ 1/24 and 1/18 collection, but I sold them all. I only collect smaller scales now, much more manageable.
Amazing collection Schide! Ive just a few of the 1:18 cars out at the moment, a big lack of room has led to having to most of them away in storage, but here are some of my favorites that i still have out. Ive also got 70 1:24 size rally cars on display at the moment, ill try and get some pics of those tomorrows.
I got those two vipers when I worked for Dodge, they are not so bad for lower cost diecast. The GT with the Gulf theme, that thing has sky rocketed in value over the last 3 years.
Yeah the vipers are pretty good quality indeed, ive also got the RT10 and dodge concept packed away somewhere, always were one of my favorite cars. Im pretty surprised at some of the prices ive seen the Gulf GT40 go for on ebay recently, was there any reason for the huge rise in price?
I have some 1:18's and 1:24's. I will try to take some pics. I collect Hot Wheels(when I see them...do they even sell them at retail anymore?), Jada Toys, and some others I can't remember right now. lol
The price on that GT, may have gone up because I think it was actually from Ford, not an off the shelf item. Plus that Gulf paint theme was very rare on that GT. I bought mine through a Ford parts catalog (right in the parts department. Ford was one other place I worked so I got lucky and only had to pay for it as cost.
Nice one man, i got mine a few years ago at a store that just sold the 1:18 diecast cars, it was the first time id seen the gt in the gulf colors in a store so i had to get it, got it for £30 so not too bad i guess.
I guess I had more then 2 of these, I sold one last night on the bay, and still have one mint in the box, plus a custom that has LED lights installed.
I've got a few that I used to display, but i've put them in storage or out of plain sight since i've got so many Transformers these days. I've got a few Cobras, Z06 Vette, that white Viper like Jedah has, a Porsche, and a few others I can't remember offhand.
They can actually all be repaired, the mirrors or spoilers just snapped off, except on my two favorites they somehow made it through intact. The 1/12 survived and thats all I care about.
