You know, since they got Joby Harold to do the script and they were working on this film for sometime, probably since 2019 at earliest, I wonder if they got him to write them a skeleton for this trilogy, Colin Trevorrow for example actually wrote one for the JW trilogy and knew since 2014 where he wanted the trilogy to end which is Dominion, something which the Star Wars sequels didn't do. Now, not even Marvel was that well planned, I think they decided to do Thanos during the filming of Avengers, and that was Joss Whedon who pushed for. Might be wrong on that one. They just need to be smart.

I don't think this is classic "Holywood PR". I think this is just a young man excited to make a movie, and not wanting to reveal too much

I don't really feel there's much to look into what he's said. People are getting all upset over the plot being "crazy" or Anthony not revealing anything. The point of this wasn't to discuss the plot. It was just to say "Hey! I'm in a movie, and it seems like it's gonna be fun! Isn't that cool?"

 

Do we know whether TF7 is a Bumblebee sequel or a bayverse sequel yet?

Well lets keep in mind with these kind of films studios wants to sign actors to stay around for several more films if successful, so he's gonna be signed to do another TF film if they move foward with more

But you are right that its early to tell if we are gonna get more.

 

I agree with @TheSoundwave about wanting a different human cast for each movie but it seems as though they have a plan for Ramos's character so I'm excited to see what they end up doing with him. One of the biggest problems with the Bayverse is that there was no planning ahead; they came up with stuff as they went along and even ditched what they set up for future films (AoE to TLK).

 

I don't necessarily mind recurring human cast as long as it makes sense and not showhorned in. Sam and Lennox made sense in the first movie but from there it really should have been Lennox and Epps front and center.

 

I hope we just get a good Optimus vs Megatron. Something we haven’t gotten since the forest fight in rotf, but that was Optimus & arguably Bumblebee, vs Starscream, Grindor & Megatron. I just want a 1 on 1 Optimus & Megatron.

Doesn't that (yet again) contradict the films? Bee movie seemed to ignore this entirely, since Bee and Prime show up in the 80s.

Why can't Bumblebee be considered the start of a reboot continuity......

 

Personally I'd kinda like if a cast could stick around for multiple films, as it can be a bit tricky to get too attached to humans that only stick around for one film unless they get enough time to be developed.

Let me put it this way, I think a mix would be ideal. Some characters stick around but then there's also some exclusive to each movie.

 

Hamilton is extremely overrated, but I hope he does well. If he's the new Sam, can we please decide what his story arc will be beforehand? The Bay films really sucked with this.

 

Bahahaha. Hamilton is overrated by a lot, and the fandom is definitely a trip but that's no fault of Anthony's own.

I look forward to seeing how he does.
